Yes, I agree. Most people want what they don't have (It always seems greener in the other side of fence). However, this is not the rule.
For instance, I have naturally curly hair and I can count the times on my fingers that I've straightened my hair and in all the occasions that I did straighten my hair, I was forced. You see, my mother just wanted to see how I looked with it straight and I had absolutely no interest.

Anything I have done to my hair is to accentuate its curliness and volume. I've braided it and then undone the braids to get a beach-wave look. I've put rollers on to better define my curls.
I find that it's crucial for people to embrace what they have. Nonetheless, I do like change once in a while; just that in my case, it does not mean blow drying my hair.
