   Safe and organic way to get rid of stretchmarks?
   
   I'm partially breastfeeding and I'm looking for ways to get rid of my stretchmarks without affecting the quality and quantity of my breastmilk.  AHA products as well as those with retinoids may work, but they're not recommended for nursing moms like me. 
   
   I'm not much in a hurry because I'm planning on losing my post partum weight gradually.  I just need something that's safe and really effective so by the time I can fit into my bikini, my stretchmarks would no longer be a problem.

   A mother is a beautiful thing. If anyone says different they aren't worth the time of day. Be proud of your body no matter what. You gave birth and now you will certainly look different. That difference isn't a bad thing. Its something you can be proud of.  I'd say don't worry about the stretch marks and those around you who do have a problem with it aren't very good friends.

   Try Bio-Oil or cocoa butter. Either method has been used for stretch marks, but make sure you research before you buy- people have varied results with both!

   Bear in mind that you can never completely lose the stretch marks without laser removal, and even then there will still be traces -- it's scar tissue, and it's there to stay. That said, there are a lot of good products that can reduce the appearance of them and help keep you from getting more as the post-partum weight comes off. I've had three babies (8lbs 10ozs up to 10lbs 9ozs) and use a cocoa butter cream to get rid of the vivid colors in newer stretch marks. It can still take several weeks for the color to fade, but it works and it's good for the skin. There are commercial lotions and creams such as Palmer's, but I got mine from an all-organic shop on Etsy.

      Thanks wychic!   I don't mind the slight traces.  I just want the redness to go away. whatever's left, I'd proudly show it off as "battle scars". Cocoa butter cream, yeah,will give that a shot.  Also, i've been wondering about Bio oil too.
