I have very thick hair so it is a job but I almost always shampoo it twice. I had a friend years ago that said her hair was so drab and when asked what she could do I found out she only shampooed once so I suggested she try it twice and see and she was very pleased. I do skip a day now and then since I do not use mousses or hair spray. Do you shampoo twice?
sort by best latest
I rarely blow dry my hair but then I am not going to work every morning but even when I did I have never used the blow dryer much unless it is winter of course. I too wash it at night and dampen areas that get messed up sleeping when I get up.
Yes, it is funny when I just let my hair dry naturally and it is a bit curly and wavy, everyone always comments how pretty it looks, when I did not do a thing to it! LOL Guess, I should stop trying to FIX it. hahaha
True. lol That reminds me that when I was about five years old staying with my mamaw (Mom's mom) she cut off a lock of my hair and put it under a rain barrel and said I would always have natural curl. It does help sometimes to just wet and style.
That is true I know. That first sudsing just doesn't get it. We are washing our scalp, too so well I will always wash twice.
Being fine probably does make it wash up much easier.
I don't color my hair anymore but I did for years so I know what you mean. No I couldn't stand soap left in the hair, in fact I have gotten back in the shower a time or two when starting to dry it I could hear suds!
Never have shampooed three times. I bet that would be a job to rinse!
I liked shampooing every day but my hair sort of tells me what to do and its more like every two days in summer (unless it is really hot) and every three in winter for the most.
I do use a leave in conditioner but I have to use very little and then not after every shampoo because of using them so long I guess my hair is in real good condition. It is great to not shampoo every day. Hands & fingers through it dirty it quic
Hey Jackie! I made a hub about my hair care routine! Maybe you could check it out and give me some feedback? (: (:
Thanks Graham for a professional tip! I have always heard that too and it does make sense for a really clean scalp and healthy hair. I do understand that rinsing too especially after a second shampoo making it so soapy! loving short hair now!
I get the more expensive sometimes if they are on sale & really I don't see a lot of difference. I do like the Garnier Fructis for shine but pouring cider vinegar in cheap shampoo will do that too.Used on kids and me for years of shiny hair. Bles
Well I am laughing. Thank you.
