Women started wearing trousers when common sense set in someone's head and said, "Wouldn't you be more comfortable plowing in pants than having a dress drag the ground and stumble over it? The mule is laughing at you!" I am glad that the first female trousers wearer entertained this question. I am equally glad that someone else had the good sense to design trousers for the female forms so that they could stop wearing the ones made for men. We have the feminine pants, and they have the masculine pants. Good deal! Pants designed for women are not peretaining to men's. No real man would dare strut around in women's pants. It is one thing to be feminine, but it is another to be sensible!
Hiking, mountain climbing, camping out, fishing, boating--in dresses? The trend will continue.
