Hi, I have a gold pendant that is at least 60 - 100 years old. I cannot see any karat marking...

anywhere on the pendant and wasn't sure if it was really gold. A distant relative who is a jeweler and is located far away from me, tested the pendant a few years ago and told me that it IS gold. At the time I wasn't thinking of selling it so I never bothered to ask what karat it is. Is there any way to find out since there aren't any markings on the pendant. Thank you, Sincerely, Jan
