Finding The Best Acne Face Wash For Your Skin

Thanks for reading this detailed article about the best acne face wash that is available on the market today. Acne is one of those things that thousands of teenagers get year after year. There are no magical overnight cures despite what you may read, or the makers of these products would try to make you believe. Different people also have different types of skin and that in itself should tell you, that no one product can fix all the different skin types.

There is no one solution fits all, and that is where many people get this wrong and can actually buy and use an acne face wash that will never work and in some cases make their acne condition worse. That is something that you should absolutely avoid.

I have also read so much utter nonsense on the Internet and on many Health forums about so called miracle acne cures and quite frankly they are nonsense. The same nonsense is talked about home remedies and concoctions that are supposed to work as well but in reality they don't.

For over 95-96% of people acne will disappear over time and during the period that it exists there are two real things that you can do that will help. The first is simple but difficult to achieve but costs nothings. Avoid scratching at all costs because that will cause acne to spread and may ultimately result in scarring.

The other thing is then to use a good cleanser as a face wash as that actually does help. In this review I will look at the different face washes for acne that are available and hopefully be able to demonstrate to you, which one is best for your skin type.

Understanding Skin Types - Will Help To Find The Best Acne Face Treatment For You

Find Out Which Skin Type You Have

There are 5 basic types of skin:

  1. Normal
  2. Dry
  3. Oily
  4. Combination of dry and oily (Most popular in women)
  5. Sensitive

Normal Skin Type

If you have this type of skin then you are truly blessed and your skin will be supple and have a healthy glow to it. Chances are you have inherited this from your grand parents and parents, so that is one great gift they have given to you. To be honest though, very few people are blessed with this type of skin. Most of us sadly have to do something to it to help balance the natural oils that skin needs to look and feel healthy.

It does of course still need to be looked after, and applying a good quality moisturiser is one great way of doing that. As you start to get older, it is also a great idea to start using a night cream.

Dry Skin Type

You will notice either patches or a lot of dry skin which can often produce small flakes. It will tend to have a sallow complexion and will need a regular good quality moisturizer. This is a very common skin type and it is the type of skin that can dry out rather easily. Most people will also notice that it creates a light roughness on the skin itself. Often there can also be an itch with this type of skin, especially if there is regular contact with clothing.

Oily Skin Type

This type of skin is very common and is highly prone to acne. This usually happens around the forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. It happens when excess oil is produced and of all the skin types, this is probably the most common. Not surprisingly it is also the hardest type to treat.

Combination Skin Type

Very common where parts of the face have patches of dry skin and usually the eyes and cheek areas and other parts like the forehead, nose and chin have oily skin. It is common sense that this would be the most difficult to treat.

Sensitive Skin Type

This is skin that is easily irritated and looks red and itchy. People with sensitive skin are highly prone to acne.

You can see from the above skin type definitions that acne is highly likely to happen to people with either oily or sensitive skin. With a combination skin type then acne will likely attack the oily parts of the skin.

Help To Identify Your Skin Type

Many people don't know how to identify their skin type. One simple method to find this out is to take a very clean piece of linen or a cotton wool ball and gently dab the different areas of your face. If you spot traces of oil from the different areas of your face then you have oily skin. If only in certain places you have combination skin

Dry skin will be easy to spot as it not only feels dry but tends to flake. Sensitive skin can easily be identified by redness and itchiness.

Once you know which type of skin you have then you are in a much better position to identify the best acne face wash.

Acne Face Wash for Oily Skin - Which Is The Best One? - Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser

This review applies to the product above. Buyers of this product rate it 4.8 out of 5 stars and I can see no other skin cleanser that comes even close to that for oily skin and acne. for me that easily makes it the best acne face wash by a very long way.

This product comes in 5 different sizes of bottle:

  • 1.7 oz
  • 5.1 oz
  • 8.0 oz
  • 8.4 oz
  • 16 oz

The good news is this only requires one application per week and with that you will see some impressive results. This means a standard 8 oz bottle will last for up to a year. This facial wash contains watercress, menthol, green clay and kaolin.

One Amazon reviewer said, I have very oily skin and this has been the best product for me.

Some of the reviewers also said that it worked well with their dry skin which was interesting. It is used by many of the high end salons and beauty pallors. The majority of reviews are from ladies but there are some male users and they have reported great results by using this product.

Acne Face Wash for Men and Boys - Discover Which Of These Is The Best

Acne can be very prolific for some men but it is mainly found with boys going through their teenage years. Some people get it a great deal worse than others. Facial cleansing really helps and I did some researching to find out what the best options were.

I have listed the best acne face wash for boys below. Many of the others that I reviewed were either ridiculously expensive or had really poor ratings. This one stood out from the crowd. Many of the reviews that I read about this product were very good indeed. On almost all of the other product reviews that I read, the actual results were disappointing.

This one seemed to get a great deal more positive reviews, so well worth looking in to.

Best Face Wash for Adults - 5 Star Rated Acne Facial Cleaner - For Use In The Morning

I was surprised to read about the number of adults who suffered from acne. This annoying trend is normally found in the teenage years when the hormones are vibrant. For many adults though acne is still a big problem.

So much so that there are quite a few products on the market that state they deal with this. Again I did some research here and found that the one below is by far the best reviewed. However it is not just men who have acne, that need this type of cleanser.

Many men suffer from what is known as razor burn and typically get rashes in and around the neckline. This can also be used for that type of skin as it is sensitive.

Do Gels Work As Cleansers?

When I was doing my research on skin cleansers and face washes I noticed that gels appeared to be popular with many buyers. There were certainly plenty of young people buying them and using them.

The best one that I could find I have shown below. Overall though these were choices that I did not know about and yet, many people have turned to these to help deal with their acne problems.

Murad Acne Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel, 2: Treat/Repair, 3.4 fl oz (100 ml)

Acne is something that is beyond our control, sometimes. You have great recommendations of products for different skin-types. Finding the right product especially for sensitive skin-type can be difficult, I use Murad-range products. However, I use natural remedies like baking soda mixed with water and lemon juice as part of my skin regimen. This source clearupacne dot org has also helped me a lot.

Murad range of acne treatments have been slammed by consumers lately but great informative lens though, I have had some great results with Salcura's Natural Skincare Range especially the Antiac Face Spray... Louise Evans www.skinhelpreviews.com

I would definitely recommend the Murad and Mario Badescu range of products for acne.

Also diet plays such a big part of it. Even for hormonal acne. Clean foods stabilize your blood sugars, leading to less hormone spikes.
