5 Tips You Should Know Before Using Facial Saunas at Home
Before using your facial steamer there are few things you need to do to reap all the benefits. The following tips work best if your facial steamer has a steam rod because you can lie down on your back and relax while getting all the benefits.
Note- Please if you buy any of the products mentioned below make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients contained on these products.
1. Your face should be thoroughly cleansed.
2. In my last beauty treatment the therapist applied an enzyme product before running the steam. The enzyme product I use is Peptide Complex Serum.
3. Apply a lip balm to keep the lips hydrated.
4. Apply an eye serum over the skin surrounding the eyes and cover the eyes with two cotton pads. Alternatively use cucumber slices or green tea bags over the eyes.
5. Using essential oils to relax and improve the skin is a good idea. The best oil depends on your skin problem but I like to use lavender, rosehip, jojoba and argan oil. If you have acne related problems use tea tree oil and for colds and a blocked nose use eucalyptus oil. Be careful with your eyes when adding oils to the water and keep them closed during treatment.
