Bathing Suit Changes Through the Years

About the Black One Piece Swimsuit

Did you that the classic black one piece bathing suit has been around since the 1920s? This is when women's bathing suits just started to become a little more revealing. Even though, for some strange reason women's swimsuits of this time period that were showing thigh were considered as revealing too much skin. I guess it could have been worse, history states that during the 18th century, women had to wear actual long sleeved swimming gowns when they wanted to go swimming! How gross is that?

Fortunately, times do change and the black one piece bathing suit did as well. Today's black piece can make anyone look sexy on the beach. Regardless of your height, size, weight, or figure, the classic black swimsuit is guaranteed to be the most flattering swimsuit you can wear.

So, if your someone that doesn't know where to turn when it comes to buying a bathing suit, opt to get the classic. You will look fabulous in this style bathing suit. Finding the perfect suit to compliment your specific body type is easily possible for you now, especially with so many styles on the market.

This fashion tip is very important ladies, if you want to buy a flattering swimsuit, you need to identify and work around your body flaws and you need to accentuate the great features that make you unique. Pick out one or more (if your lucky) of your greatest features to emphasize them in the one you choose to buy. Whether it be the cut of the neckline or the cut of the bottom of the suit, show only what you want to show.

Black swimwear can be very conservative by opting to wear high necklines, skirt bottoms (also known as swimdresses), or a full coverage swimsuit. On the other hand, you can go extremely sexy by opting to wear daring low cut necklines, thong styled swimwear, or a monokini (one-piece with cut-outs). The lady that is in between the two and just wants to look nice and be comfortable at the beach can opt to wear a suit that offers moderate coverage. You'll look fabulous any way you go!

Women's Black Swimsuit

I love the way this style looks good while your at beach, going for an evening swim, or lounging around the hot tub. There is something so seductive and mysterious about wearing anything black, especially lingerie or swimwear. Throw a sarong or cute beach coverup and you can actually where it out shopping or to lunch and look very much in vogue.

You showcase black swimsuits very well. My all-time favorite swimming suit was a black one-piece with some white trim. It was modest in the 50s, but it was the latest model in the dress shop. Now I wear a suit in the style of scuba skins with a little over-vest, with the intention of displaying modesty - not sexuality - in public. It also removes the need for sunblock.

As I voted in your poll, I always have at least one black swimsuit on hand. Now I see a few more I'd like! The vintage photos were fun too.

A black one-piece, to me, is more flattering than most skimpy bikinis. Wonderful images and information!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry! Society, as a norm, creates and follows what I see as an "anorexic" trend. There are no bathing suits designed for a "normal" woman. Creativity is lost in what the magazines and stars show off. Being a "regular" person just doesn't have advantages. Where is the bikini designed for a woman with loads of mama belly and stretch marks? Where is that flattering summer attire for for the "not-so-perfect" body? Come on! Where is reality in all this hoopla??????

Sometimes I think women look better in stuff that is not that revealing, to me it shows a touch of class, as in the suits in this lens. Keep up the great work.
