Brightly Coloured Trendy Items For 2013

Updated on January 19, 2013

2013 will be bright.

Brightly coloured items will be the top sellers of 2013. Watches, dresses, bags to mention only a few. Easily sourced via online outlets it looks like the future is going to be brightly coloured.

which of the items shown in this article will be your brightly coloured favourites. Will you be buying your own brightly coloured goods or will you remain your conservative self and leave the bright stuff for the young and young at heart? I must admit that whilst watching a T. V programme this morning I saw one of our top T.V Chefs wearing a lime green brightly coloured wrist watch. Since the advent of the mobile phone I must admit that I have no longer got a use for a wrist watch......or so I thought. With one of these brightly coloured watches I really could make an exception. The mobile phone in 2013 will have a lot to be responsible for as we hear very early after Christmas 2012 that one of the UK's leading photography retailers has gone into administration with the loss of over 2000 jobs.

2013 will be bright.
2013 will be bright.

Colours of the rainbow.

If anyone had ever told me that we would see the colours of the rainbow in fashionable trendy items I wouldn't have believed it. Garish stand out in the crowd fluorescent colours certainly will brighten up what could be a dismal economic year for some if the reports we keep hearing are true. Enough of the serious behaviour and get ready to pick out your favourite colours which will be found not only on the high street but internet wide on sites such as e-bay and Amazon.

Talking about colour.

Colours, some bright, have had some significance for me of late as I will try to explain here. It may well be that you have experienced something similar with other things not related to colour. All will become clear as I meander through the article trying to explain where I am coming from.

The colours of new cars which are rolling off of the production lines have taken me back to the 1970's and my childhood. I don't know if you notice this with colour but I have certainly seen colours which have not been around for years making a comeback. Comforting feelings and happy reminders is what I am feeling when I see certain colours on the road's vehicles. I can only put this down to seeing these colours associated with my childhood which remind me of happy times spent with school friends riding our bicycles during school holidays travelling around new car showrooms gathering new car brochures then dreaming about the cars we would choose when older.

Every summer holiday my parents would rent a car as we didn't own one at the time and go away to the seaside. Again a reminder of good times these colours remind me of some of the cars we rented back then.

Marketing ploy or coincidence?

I wonder. Would ,say, a car manufacturer aim to tug the heart strings of a 50ish person by re-introducing car colours from the 70's. Do you know I think they would be so calculated to do this. Why? Because it works. If you feel the same when you see the colours I am talking about I would love to hear from you so why not leave a comment at the end of the article.

We need colourful lives.

Colour is very important and can even change the way we are feeling. It is much better to see brightly coloured objects in favour of dull and drab ones. 2013 is going to be a great year for colourful products. The economic outlook is not good so we should all try to make ourselves feel better by bringing some colour into our own lives as well as friends and family. So come on and do your bit by buying some of the colourful items recommended in this article. You know you want to.

Colour, what's your favourite?

Which bright colour is your favourite? And, what will be the hottest colour of 2013. I predict a vivid green will be the top bright colour and anybody with this colour of product I reckon will do well. Funky green does it for me at the moment for any product. Remember it was the green watch which got me thinking about colour. If it does this with me then why not for others?

Posh - You are so right about a flashback to the 70's. I am also having flashbacks of the 80's with the day-glo colors on many items. Anyone else seeing the reminiscent of that generation as well?

    Great write
