Camouflage pattern clothing

Find the latest camo styles for women, men and kids, and learn a little about vintage camouflage patterns used by our troops over the last 50 years.

A few basic patterns are used to make everyday work clothes and heavy-duty trousers for hunting and paintball games. By making changes to the colors used in the pattern, hundreds of different variations are available that are suitable for any purpose in the desert, forest, or in the city.

Camouflage patterns can also be found on capri pants, skateboard and surfing shorts, briefs and every type of clothing, from head to toe. From the latest digital camouflage patterns for desert and woodland environments, to the vintage camo now retired from service, find the right pattern and style of camo cargo pants for you.

Watch the video at the end with 25 examples of animal camouflage.

Know your camo

Vintage camouflage patterns have been replaced with digital "pixelated" patterns that are highly effective at blending into the background.

The original Canadian Disruptive Pattern - CadPat was adapted for the United States Marines and renamed MarPat, using different colors in the same basic pattern to produce camouflage for woodland and desert locations.

The Urban Camo pattern, in black and grey colors, is produced for the consumer market.

Choose the size and pattern you like from military surplus stores and designer labels. Some brands come in 10-20 different patterns and solid colors. For the best fit, refer to a chart of regulation clothing sizes.

Oakleys come in four styles of camo shorts. Adventure Walk Shorts and Cruise Walkshorts have standard pockets, and they're "amphibious" so they can double as swimming trunks.

Oakley Vintage Cargo Shorts have the extra cargo pockets, and available in solid colors. Floor It Board shorts have flap pockets and no belt loops for surfing and swimming.

@Camden1: Hi Camden. That must have been an interesting birthday party! (or maybe it was just camouflage lingerie in the store). You can get outfitted from head to toe in camo, and then get backpacks and accessories to camo your entire world.

I don't wear camo, but if I decide to I'll know where to look! I saw camo lingerie for the first time this weekend when my daughter went to an archery birthday party. The store sold camo lingerie - glad to see you included that!

@montanatravel52: Camouflage is so interesting. It's used for concealment, but at the same time it's used for identification and "branding".

Great display of various types of camo for various uses, well done. I just wrote a lens on how camoflauge can help while hunting, and my most important tip was that camo is not just about color, but blending into the surroundings. You provided some great examples of exactly what I meant!
