Wearing A Cocktail Dress Is Like Wearing a Cocktail Costumes
Wearing a Beautiful Outfit
Did you know that wearing a cocktail dress is like wearing cocktail costumes. My husband works as an assistant professor and many times during the year we are invited to parties requiring me to wear a traditional cocktail costumes or so called dresses. The University he works for expects the spouses of faculty members to join in on all of their events. This means that I need to have not one, but many outfits or as I call the costumes>. Finding stylish attire has become easier with online purchases. These outfits are fun to wear and come in a large selection of colors and styles
I do computer searches for these dresses and comparison shop. Some of my favorite designer are Mori Lee, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Jovani, and Tiffany. Many time I find dresses on clearance or on sale. Color is a big thing with me for my costumes. I like purple, pinks, and greens, since these colors look good with my skin tone. So while looking I select the outfits I think I want and place them in my shopping cart. Then I select the ones I want to purchase from my cart.
Before I get started I carefully take my measurements to make sure the dresses will fit properly when they arrive in the mail. If dresses are on clearance or on sale and my size isn't available, I simply purchase the next size larger and take it to the dress maker for alterations. This way I can afford those designer labels I love without the big price tag. Some of my favorite are tea length and the rest are short skirted. I also have a couple of generic shrugs which I wear during the colder weather with my outfits.
