Organic Cotton Bathrobe is on My Wish List

In case you were wondering, I have decided what I want to get for Christmas this year, and that is this beautiful 100% Organic Turkish Cotton Robe (pictured to the left). This is what Bathrobes Online says about it. "Our Organic Bathrobes are made in Turkey with 100% high quality Organic Turkish Cotton and GOTS certified. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers worldwide. It defines high level environmental criteria along the entire supply chain of organic textiles and requires compliance with social criteria as well. " Frankly, I want it just as much for the organic cotton next to my skin, as the comfort and full length features of the robe.

Who wouldn't want an organic cotton bath robe for Christmas, or a birthday or anniversary? A bath robe is the perfect gift, you can give it to men or women, and it is so comfy and delicious to wear. It is like walking around with a soft comfortable towel that just wraps around your body.

And a bathrobe is a good choice for anyone regardless of age. Men and women love to be wrapped up in the comfort of an organic cotton bathrobe after bathing or showering.

Terry Cotton Bath Robe

Another great bath robe is a terry cotton bath robe. Whether it is made of organic cotton or not is your choice. You may find that organic cotton bath robes are not as expensive as you might think, but there are a lot of nice terry cotton bath robes. I have to admit that I am a spa cotton bath robe person, and prefer to wear white bathrobes. I also like white cotton towels in my bathroom, however if you are giving the terry cotton bath robe to a person on your gift list who likes color, there are some great colors to choose from.

For men, a dark rich color like red, navy, or hunter green is always a good choice for a robe, and for women there are robes in just about any color of the rainbow.

How Do You Choose the Length of a Bath Robe?

I am a woman, and I prefer the long, full length cotton bath robes, but my husband likes his bath robes to be about calf length. The length of a bath robe is a matter of preference, but climate makes a difference too. If you live in a colder climate, it makes much more sense to buy a warmer, longer cotton bath robe, where in a very hot climate, thinner cotton bath robes make much more sense.

Cotton bath robes are great gifts for children as well, because they love to be wrapped up in towels and blankets, and a bath robe is just like a towel. For kids, though, you should get a robe that does not trip them when they run from room to room. A hooded cotton bath robe is also a great choice for children. They can really wrap up in one of those.

Why is a Cotton Bath Robe a Good Choice?

Cotton is a very absorbent material. Another good choice is a bamboo/cotton blend. Bamboo also is very absorbent. Therefore both fabrics make the best material if you use your bath robe after a bath or a shower when your skin is still wet or damp. Cotton also breathes well, so you can dry off and stay cool under your bath robe.

Another feature of cotton is that cotton will get softer, the more you wear and wash it, and soft cotton feels great against your skin. Cotton is also durable which you need if you are going to wash a fabric a lot.

Do You Like to Relax in Your Bathrobe at Home?

When you lounge around the house, is it in a pair of sweats, pajamas or a bathrobe? Bathrobes always remind me of a spa, especially if they are terrycloth.

Do you have a favorite bathrobe?
