Using Paint Markers is a convenient way to paint in the outlines. - If the tube requires shaking to mix the paint, put the lid on first.
The first time that I shook the paint tube without the lid, the paint tip went flying across the room. I now remember to put the cap back on first.
Always test the paint pen on a scrap piece before using it on your shirt. If the marker is getting dry, press the tip onto a piece of cardboard to help release the paint, then test before applying it to the shirt.
I have found that paint pens with a medium point work pretty well.
