Dress Like Don Draper

Updated on August 20, 2014

Love the "Mad Men" Look?

Retro Fashion is all the craze. First you had Charlie Harper and his retro bowling shirts, now there is the influence of Don Draper and Mad Men.

What is the "Don Draper" look? Well, slicked back, well groomed hair. Five o'clock shadows. Skinny solid ties, starched white shirt and a grey suit, no vest. Don't forget the fedora hat. Black shoes are a must with a grey suit. White socks? Well, maybe, but probably not.

Television shows like Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory and Mad Men have had a real impact on clothing styles in the past few years. I am sure that other television shows and movies have also influenced styles, too.

Be Don Draper? - Yes, you can Dress Like Don on Halloween if you like!

Of course, Don would not dress himself by shopping Amazon.com, but if you want to re-create this retro look on a budget, there is no better place to costume yourself with a "Mad Men" look. At least you will be able to wear these pieces with other clothing all year long.

I personally would choose black socks over white when wearing a suit.
