Pretty Flower Scarf Clips

Updated on February 17, 2015

Add Style With A Pretty Flower Scarf Clip

Scarves are worn, all around the world, by people of all ages. The right scarf pin or clip can add a touch of style to any scarf. Here, you will find a lovely selection of flower accessories, both pins and clips. They are all reasonably priced, and would make a beautiful Valentine or anniversary gift or a treat for yourself. If you see a clip or pin you want, click on the photo for more information.

A little fashion history:

The scarf has been a fashionable accessory, for women and for men, since the early 19th century. It's history goes back much further - in Ancient Rome, the scarf, called a sudarium, was used on hot days to wipe the face and neck. In English, sudarium translates as "sweat cloth"!

The photo is from Amazon, for more information on this pretty scarf clip below, see below.

A Lovely Selection of Flower Scarf Clips

It's nice to have a selection of pretty scarf clips and pins to choose from. Each can compliment your style and match with particular clothes or scarves. Personally, I like bold and colorful large flower clips - these can look very stylish on plain or patterned scarves, wraps and shawls. I also like the more delicate looking rings of small flowers - they can look very elegant on a fine silk or pashmina scarf.

Pewter and Silver Tone Flower Scarf Clips

Pewter and antique silver tones are stunning when worn with a colorful scarf. Again, I would select a large pin or clip for a wrap or shawl, or a smaller design for a delicate neck scarf.

Can you tie a scarf?

The video bellows shows a simple way to turn a square cotton scarf into an elegant accessory, using a scarf ring to hold everything in place. Simply fold your scarf corner to corner, spinning a couple of times to make the triangle a little smaller, then place the V of the triangle across your front and cross the ends over behind your neck. Feed the scarf ends through a scarf ring, or clip with a scarp clip. You can wear this in a symmetrical way, or adjust it to give a more asymmetrical look.

This beautiful floral design scarf clip can also be used as a brooch, as it has a detachable brooch pin. The sparkling red petals are surrounded by silver tone decorated with clear crystals.

Do you wear scarves or shawls? - If so, do you prefer to tie or clip them?

Scarves and wraps are very handy for those days when it's too hot for a coat, but too chilly to be without a 'cover-up'. I've seen some cool ways to wear a shawl as a jacket, using a scarf clip to keep everything in place.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful scarf clips. It isn't something I think of these days. My mother always wore one, that was being dressed up with a warm coat and scarf. Come to think about it I never ever wear the heavy coats of day's gone-by, most likely because with all the modern materials you don't wear warm clothes like years ago, or is it that the weather is getting warmer not colder.
