From Mishap to Fashion Statement

Updated on September 7, 2014

It was the night of my sister’s 60th birthday and we were all going out for a meal to celebrate. My daughter and I were wearing our favourite clothes. I was in purple and she was in pink.We were all bustling about getting ready. My son who was twenty-five had one of those close cropped haircuts which you kept tidy by running a shaver(like the one featured) with a comb attached which would determine how long the hair was My son asked me to give it a quick once over to tidy up his already tidy hair. It was simple enough, so why didn’t he do it himself ?

The Deed is Done

I took the device in my hand and prepared to use it. I decided to begin at the back. .I moved it over his head in a sweeping motion from neck to crown and was horrified to find there was a bald stripe on one side of his head. When I gasped he realized what had happened. I apologized profusely and asked if I should put a matching stripe on the other side but ,”No,,” he said.”It will all have to come off.”So he went to the dinner with a bald head.He grew his hair back, only a matter of a few days and then decided he liked it bald. I have a sneaking suspicion he wanted a bald head all along but didn’t quite have the courage to do it.It’s true we would probably say,”What on earth have you done that for?” Ever since that time he has been bald.

Steps to Avoiding a Mishap Like This

If you want to avoid such a mishap

1 Be very sure the comb is on the razor.

2 Make the person do it themselves so that you don’t get the blame.

If you like this type of hairstyle you can save yourself a lot of money by using the Remington Short Cut Clipper. Visiting the barber is an expensive business.

What do you think of bald hair?

Mine is as short as I care to be. Not planning to get a bald cut anytime soon.

I like it, even on women! And so easy.
