Subscriptions for boxes filled with surprise samples are a huge craze. There's a box for anything you can think of - beauty products, tea samples, kids crafts, natural and eco-friendly products - you name it.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service of high-end beauty products. There are lots of beauty box companies out there but in my opinion, Glossybox is, hands down, the best one. For just $21 per month (or less, depending on your subscription type), the company sends you a pretty box filled with five perfectly curated travel and full-size products from well-known and up-and-coming companies. The price is a complete steal because oftentimes just one of the items in the box covers the entire monthly cost.

A Glossybox is like getting a gift every month

Who doesn't wanna feel like a birthday girl once a month? I know I love getting surprises monthly!

Receiving a box in the mail is pretty awesome on its own but with Glossybox, you get this unique cardboard box and inside is another pink box with the Glossybox symbol, and within that box is sleek black tissue paper tied with a pink ribbon. It's brilliant packaging. Then there's the monthly card with a message from Glossybox and a description of the enclosed products. Once you get through the pretty package, you find five surprise products. It's pretty amazing, especially since the products are always something you can use or gift to a friend.

What type of products are included in Glossybox?

Glossybox provides a balanced boxed which included a combo of:

  • Makeup
  • Skincare
  • Hair items
  • Body items
  • Makeup tools
  • Nail items

Glossybox lets you discover new luxury products and brands

Glossybox delivers five perfectly curated beauty and lifestyle products to you door monthly. I would've never tried most of these products on my own but trust me, the products they choose for you are really awesome.

I've never heard of a lot of the brands included in Glossyboxes since many of them are up and coming niche brands but I'm really glad to get the opportunity to try them out. I guess sometimes it takes someone literally bringing something to your door for you to try it!

Some of the well know brands you get with Glossybox include: La Prairie, Tarte, Naobay, Vichy, Fresh, Bvlgari, Phyto, amongst many others.

Glossy Box Promo Codes and Coupons

If you go to Glossybox via eBates, you get $2.75 cash back on your purchase. You're welcome!

Glossybox often does promos where they give a coupon code for an additional product to get added to your monthly box. Below is one:

  • Use code VELVETLASHES by September 21st to get the Velvet59 My Fair Lashes wand for free in your Glossybox
  • Use promo code OPRAH to get 20% off an annual subscription (that's $176 for 12 months of Glossybox goodness!)
  • Use promo code BEAUTYSTAT415 to get 15% off your first month subscription

Glossybox also sends promo codes for products that were included in boxes. Below are some of them:

  • Use promo code: ROSEMASK to get a free Sisley Anti-aging Black Rose Cream Mask ($19 value) with your first box
  • GlamGlow Youthmud Mask Promo Code: Use promo code GBGLAM
  • Michael Todd Promo Code: 30% off Hydration Boost. Use promo code HYDRATION30

Glossybox is a great deal

Honestly, I joined Glossybox because I just love the thought of getting surprise beauty products every month but after subscribing for a few months, I realized that there are additional benefits to subscribing and one is that it's such a great deal! For instance, below are the products I got in the January 2014 Glossybox and each product's true value.

Plus, shipping and handling is always free.

Just trying the Beauty Blender was enough value for me and getting all those other products is just a big plus, like the sea salt hair spray, which I've been using religiously.

Another huge plus is that I've found that I haven't needed to buy new products since I've been subscribing to Glossybox because the products I get, plus the ones I've had are enough to last me through each month.

Glossybox sends spoiler alerts which get you itching for the box to arrive

Spoiler Alerts are sent throughout the month, building anticipation. When is Glossybox coming?! (Usually during the third week of the month)

Throughout the month, you receive 'Spoiler Alerts' letting you know what's coming in the next Glossybox. Here's one I got in my inbox.

Note on Glossybox Taxes

FYI - Glossybox charges taxes for shipping to just two states: New York and California. Lucky you, if you don't live in NY or Cali!

Limited Edition boxes are an added bonus option!

Occasionally, Glossybox releases really coveted limited edition themed or occasion boxes like Mother's Day, Best of Britain, and La Prairie. These are really popular and there's a limited supply of them. You can sign up to get e-mail notification when a limited edition box is available. If you're interested in the theme, a word of advise, get it ASAP! From what I hear, they sell out within thirty minutes or so. Price: $40

Is Glossybox worth it?

In my opinion, Glossybox is totally worth the money. Value-wise, the price of each Glossybox is at least half of what the products in the box cost. And of course there's the other benefits - surprise products, trying out new stuff and brands.

The Glossybox boxes are so pretty and useful!

With Glossybox, it's not only what's inside the box but the gorgeous pink box itself. When I got my first box, I couldn't get myself to throw it out so I've been using them for storage. One box for shower gels, another box for massage oils and tools, another box for make-up.

You get promo codes for beauty products

Glossybox often does promos where they mail a coupon code with your Glossybox or e-mails coupon codes for a percentage off your purchase of one of the products.

Also oftentimes promo codes are available for additional products to get added to your Glossybox.

This looks almost dream like. It's that good and I'm going to pass on this hub to my daughter to read and possibly subscribe as she's loves to buy good skin and hair care stuff.

Voted up, interesting and awesome. Shared as well.
