Gothic Shoes and Boots

Updated on June 26, 2014

Gothic Shoes and Boots Styles

While Gothic shoes and boots come in a number of styles, one word would describe the vast majority of them - whether men's or women's - and that's 'elevation.'

There are different colors incorporated into many goth boots and shoes as well, but, again, most of them will at least have black in them.

So if you have elevated, black shoes or boots, you just might be mistaken for a Goth; of course you may really be one, so that wouldn't matter then; would it?

Even though black and elevated shoes and boots are the primary color and style of Goth footwear, that alone wouldn't identify them for the untrained eye. But as you'll see in the following photos, there's a certain look that in most cases can't be mistaken, and when you learn to identify that look, you'll recognize Goth shoes or boots immediately.

Some Gothic Men's and Women's Shoes Very Similar

Like all men's and women's shoes, it's not hard to differentiate between the sexes as to who the shoes were made for. But in the case of boots, in many cases that rule can be changed, as it's difficult to tell the difference between the two, because in a lot of instances they have the look of something a man would wear, although the elevated platform has a unisex feel as well.

This particular shoe, while Gothic in style, could be worn by anybody, and reflects the growing acceptance of Goth shoe or boot styles among a growing number of consumers.

Goth fashion, shoes, boots and accessories are hot this year, and show no signs of slowing down. That's good news for the Goth subculture as it gives them the type of shoe and boot choices they've been looking for for awhile.

Thigh Top Women's Gothic Boots

This are very nice looking thigh top boots, and would work for a lot of women in a variety of circumstances.

I really like these.

Gothic shoe or boot?

When you first look at this shoe it's hard to tell whether it's a boot or shoe, and I suppose it really doesn't matter what you call it. But it's really a shoe, and when you picture the platform being removed, you can see it's really a shoe.

I think I'd have a hard time walking in these suckers.

This shoe could be worn by any women. The only exception may be the rounded toe, which loses some of its femininity, and so some women would probably pass. Still, not a bad looking shoe.

This is also another style of Gothic boots that most women wouldn't hesitate to wear in the majority of social situations. These are really nice, and most women I'm sure have something like that available in their closets.

These are among the most fun of the Gothic shoes to me, and those coffin heels are great and playful.

I would think they wouldn't work in some social situations, but then again, if you're the type to want to wear them, you probably don't care anyway. Fun!

Variety of Gothic Shoes and Boots

Even though most Gothic shoes and boots incorporate black as the color of preference, you can see from just these few styles that it doesn't keep the creativity and variety of boots and shoes from differentiating in major way. Nice collection that barely touches the surface of cool Gothic shoes and boots.
