What To Pair With Green Cardigan?

Updated on June 8, 2010

Green cardigan is a refreshing sweater coat. The coat is able to spice up your mood when you are in blue. Different kinds of green cardigan sweater are able to create different kinds of effect and each type of them is used to match with different kinds of base wear. A long green cardigan for example, is matches well with white knit tops and pants; they might not look good with skirts because of the sweater is over waist and it looks odd with the same length of bottom wear. Other like lime green cardigan is compliments well with white color of one piece dress. You can match them with same color series of tops and shorts too. However make sure you don’t overload the lime green element on yourself. This is because of too much green element on fashion will make you look like a big green apple. As such, be selective on your tops, bottom wear as well as other fashion accessories if you want to put up these garments. Below are some important tips if you wish to carry this coat to outdoor activities.

Base Wear

To pair with green cardigan, like I said earlier, you can either go for white, black or same color series of base wear. If possible, strong avoid for pairing them with contrast color series of base wear like pink nylon tops or yellow knit tops. Unless you are creating a special look for a theme party or event, if not it is always right if you pair these green cardigans with the white and black color series of clothing. For office lady, green cardigan always goes well with white or black one piece dress. What does one piece dress mean? One piece dress basically is referring to dresses that cover your body from top (shoulder) to knee or over knee. Some of the famous one piece dresses are inclusive of like pencil dress, shift dress etc. Moreover body fit tops is the right choice as most of the green cardigan also is constructed with body fitting. Thus pair this green sweater cardigan with white tube top will make you stand younger and fresh that you never think of.

Bottom Wear

Bottom wear is referring to pants, skirts, slacks and shorts. To pair with green cardigan, you need white color series of bottom wear too. My opinion is, the best tops and bottom wear to pair with green cardigan sweater is white tops and white linen pants or any other ladies trousers that is come in white color. As far as concern, this is the winning fashion combination that makes woman looks smart, cherish, chic and charming. Moreover this fashion combination also enhances the elegant sense and sensuality of woman. Nevertheless if you don’t prefer white clothing to go along with this sweater, then make sure you select black or mild brown color series of bottom wear. Perhaps jeans are a better option too. You can pair green cardigan like lime green cardigan with skinny jeans with white tops; or you can pair the sweater with black pencil skirt together with tight fitting sleeveless blouses. In another word, beside creativity, you need to determine the right type of clothing that goes well with green cardigans.

Fashion Accessories and Ornaments

Green sweater cardigan is a daily garment; as such it matches with all kinds of fashion accessories like earrings, necklaces, handbags, bracelets, brooches etc. For earrings, you can pair these cardigans with jade stone drop earrings or garnet earrings. Both earrings will provide an elegant look as well as pairing well with the green cardigan. However if you don’t prefer luxury style of green earrings, then can try to put up other style earrings like green bib earring or dangle earring. Both of these earrings help for providing the rustic and cottage fashion style together with the cardigan. For handbags, you can carry any types of bags like hobo bag, tote bag or clutches, somehow make sure they are come with these three colors, yet white, black or brown, no other. Consequently green cardigan like dark green cardigans are pairing perfectly with same color series of waist belt. As such, if you want to make your “green fashion” more “green element”, then consider for putting up a dark green waist belt, together with your one piece white color of one piece dress. You can also top an accent green scarf for making your green cardigan looks even better. Generally people will go for lightweight scarf like green organza or satin scarf. In term of footwear or shoes, no other is the best out of black or white shoes. You can pair your green cardigan sweater with black or white high heels, boots, clogs etc. They will be the most perfect foot garment for matching this cardigan.
