Hair loss is something natural as one of the stages at our natural hair growth cycle. Everyday we lose dozens of old hair that will be replaced by new ones and this micro-cycle is just a part of a larger one that repeats itself every three or four years.Despite this, hair loss becomes a problem and a cause of concern when fallen hair is not replaced at the same rate it falls, which leads to a progressive baldness.

Hair loss can have many causes :

-Hormones: when the thyroid gland isn't working properly; a temporary excess of hormones in blood like women experience during a pregnancy

-genetics: hair loss or even baldness can be already present in our genes

-hair styles and treatments: pigtails, tight hair rollers, among other can induce hair loss as they put great stress over the scalp

For example in men , balding typically follows the classic horseshoe pattern or male pattern baldness whereas in woman diffuse thinning is more common and tends to be primarily hormonal driven.

One often discarded cause is stress which can have a role in diffuse loss but the positive is stress-induced loss usually stops within a year from the absence of its source.

Other indirect causes can be aggressive dieting, specific medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, whilst major life changes like a new job or the move to a new home can also induce this loss. However studies have shown that hair loss on men between 18 and 35 is most likely the development of male pattern baldness,

Most hair loss can be softened simply using good tested products available and by having less aggressive behaviors towards our hair.

Before you begin any sort of hair loss treatment you have to know exactly what to expect and the truth is there are no shortcuts for results. Most people won`t notice meaningful improvements before the one year mark has been passed, whilst two years is the most common number.

This happens because hair fallout you experience this week comes from hair that ended its growth cycle at least two or four weeks ago- hair was already in the weakening stage that is why is impossible to see immediate results from a very recent treatment.

The following products are not miraculous potions that stop hair loss for good but they do prevent more damage to your scalp and make your hair healthier and look way better too so you can regain the confidence when you look in the mirror again, Above all remember: it takes time but the end result is worth the investment.

Nioxin Intensive Therapy Recharging Complex

Nioxin is a well established brand that has good and reasonable priced products available. This Intensive therapy recharging complex stimulates hair growth and is mainly recommended to everyone suffering from a very thin , dry, breakable hair that breaks or falls easily.

Hi, nice informative article on the cycle of hair growth and causes of hair foll. I would like to share my mantra for fighting hair fall. 1) Use Parachute Advansed Therapie Hair Vitaliser to control hair fall and make the hair stronger and thicker. Massage it on your scalp for 10 mins and leave it overnight.

      2) Use a mild/herbal shampoo thrice a week and a reputed conditioner twice a week.

      3) Apply the conditioner to the tips of the hair and not to the scalp.

      4) Eat well and include fruits and vegetables in your diet. Avoid junk food.

      5) Exercise, as it increases blood circulation to the scalp.

      6) Relax and don't take stress as stress leads to hairfall. So sleep well.
