DIY- Monsoon Skin Care Face Masks

Herbal Skincare During Monsoon

Has your skin lost its charm this monsoon? We all love rains, chilling near the window enjoying the view with hot mug of coffee. We all enjoy getting wet and drenched in rain, but our skin surely doesn't like it! Monsoon brings along various skin problems. The moist humid weather affects the skin badly. Our skin goes through complete transformation of climate from extreme burning of sun to moist humid climate. As soon as monsoon starts your skin needs extra care.

Today I shall discuss some simple homemade face masks which can be incorporated as a beauty regimen during monsoon. Pamper yourself with these homemade facemasks and have that flawless looking skin.

1) Peach fruit pack:

This fruit contains loads of vitamin A and vitamin B- carotene.This helps protect the skin.

Method

  • Cut the fruit and mash it in the grinder without adding water and apply it to your face.
  • Keep it for 10-15 mins and wash it off with warm water.

2) Plum fruit pack

Plum

  • Plums contain vitamin C and prevent the skin from infection. It also leaves the skin with soft and smooth texture.

Oats

  • It helps moisturize and exfoliate skin.

Almond oil

  • It contains Vitamin E and has long been proved beneficial for skin.

Method

  • Wash plum and remove the seed.
  • Now mix with Oats and Almond oil and blend it.
  • Apply on the skin and leave it for 15-20 mins.
  • Wash it off with water.

3) Banana and oats pack

Bananas are rich in vitamin A B and E. Banana protects the skin and prevents aging.

Method

  • Take 1 banana and mash it, mix it with oats and blend it.
  • Apply on face and neck.
  • Wash it off after 20 mins to get that super glowing skin.

4) Saffron and neem

Saffron

  • Saffron is a lightning agent and it lightens the skin tone to great extent.

Neem

  • Neem is beneficial for people who have sensitive and problematic skin.
  • It has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
  • It even delays aging of skin and helps fight pathogens.

Recipe

Saffron
7-8 strands
Neem leaves
10-15 leaves
warter
as required

Method

  • Mix saffron strands with 10-12 Neem leaves, add water till it forms paste like consistency.
  • Apply on skin. Keep it for 20 mins and wash it off for that soft, glowing skin.

Note

Make sure to wash your face after coming home from rain and never forget to wear sunscreen when going out in rain.
