How Orthaheel Flip Flips Can Help Elimate Foot Pain

Updated on June 26, 2014

My Favorite Summer Sandal

In a way I consider having plantar fasciitis a blessing. Weird huh, to consider my aching, sore and painful feet a positive experience isn't it? But, if I hadn't been on the search for shoes that wouldn't hurt my feet I wouldn't of found Orthaheel Sandals.

For months I would wake up and limp to the alarm clock feeling with pins and needles shooting through the soles of my feet. I had tried custom orthotics, shoes inserts, and a variety of shoes, but Orthaheels are my favorite.

During a vacation in Arkansas I stopped into a unique shoe store in Conway Arkansas called Wilkinsons Mall, it was a warehouse type store tucked into an industrial area, not a fancy shopping center. My daughter was buying a pair of Chacos (which are all the rage in outdoor sandals) and I decided to find a pair of summer sandals that did NOT hurt my feet.

I Have Happy Healthy Feet

The minute I put my feet into the Orthaheel flip flops it was as if my feet did a sigh of relief. My feet were happy! They had instant support in the insole, I felt balanced, and my feet felt cushioned. My only problem was I never liked flip flops and the feeling of something between my toes. But, for this kind of pain relief I would learn to wear flip flops.

The sales clerk said it would take about a week for my feet to get used to the extra support and many people need to wean themselves into wearing Orthaheels by wearing them just a few hours a day. I knew the instant I put them on this wasn't going to be the case. I wore these flip flops all day, every day for a month and my feet never felt better.

What I have learned is orthopedic shoes can be fashionable and fun, they don't have to be ugly.

Shopping For Shoes Online is Easy

I have also learned buying shoes online is easy. Amazon.com has an easy, no questions asked return and refund policy, so if they don't feel right I can just put them back in the mail and get another pair. These shoes can be hard to find in stores, and they don't have all the styles. I get a lot more variety and choice when I shop online. With Amazon Prime shipping is free and they only take a couple of days to arrive.

Learn How Vionic Shoes and Orthaheel Technology Works

Don't just take my word for it, listen to the inventors of this revolutionary shoe, watch how a simple flip flop can realign your legs taking stress and strain off the knee and hip.

To think my Mom said never wear flip flops they will hurt your feet.

How Orthaheel helps treat plantar fasciitis and eliminates foot pain.

How Orthaheel corrects pronation in the foot. by providing support to the foot.

How Does Orthaheel Technology Work?

Orthaheel shoes provide support which not only cushions the feet but aligns the legs and prevents over-pronation which is responsible for a myriad of aches and pains in the feet, ankles, legs and hips. Who knew so many problems were caused by how we walked and the quality of shoes we wore?

Orthaheel Sandals Help Reduce

  • Heel Pain (plantar fasciitis)
  • Knee Pain (caused by rolling over the foot)
  • Ball of Foot Pain (common in women who wear high heels)
  • Aching legs (aligns feet reducing over-pronation)
  • Flat Feet (over pronation that causes arch to collapse)
  • Shin Pain (reduces over-pronation)

Vionic Shoes with Orthaheel technology has received the APMA Seal of Acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association, and is endorsed by Andrew Weil, M.D. of the Weil Foundation

(Recently Orthaheelusa.com became Vionic Shoes and is now offering shoes for all season and styles.)

These were the first pair of Orthaheel flip flops and I LOVE them!! Can I say it again? I Love them! They are just plain black rubber and plastic, nothing fancy, but I pop them on walk in the garden, the water, the beach, get them wet and they don't wear out.

Orthaheels were the only shoe I could wear because of PF. Since the merger with Vionic I can no longer wear them. The arch is not as high, heel cup not as deep, and not made of the same material. So sad that companies always have to mess with a product that works well... just to save money!

I can't wear sandals at work, but I need to try these for weekend wear.

I have plantar fasciitis and I wear Orthoheel walking shoes, which really help. How nice to know that their sandals work so well too.

I have wide feet and can rarely find shoes to fit. Do these run wide or narrow?

Great review. It's always encouraging when someone loves a product! I will definitely check out the choices. Surprising to find a sandal that helps.

These sound like something I would absolutely try. I might be more inclined to try the slide sandals since I don't like something between my toes. Thank you for bringing these to my attention!
