Updated on February 9, 2011

Hunter wellies have become the must have item for celebrities and festival goers. But what makes this brand so unique and what styles are available? This hub aims to tackle those questions.

About the Brand

The Hunter brand started life a Scottish company, this proud heritage has stuck with them through years of production. The original hunter wellie was designed to tackle the harsh terrain and weather conditions of England. Hunter have had 150 years to perfect the design, during these years they have combined modern technology with traditional hand crafted techniques - allowing them to forge the hunter wellies' legendary comfort, performance and durability.

Hunter has been deemed worthy of several awards but the superlative recognition comes from the The Royal Warrants of Appointment as suppliers of the waterproof footwear to Hm The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. The royal warrants are a badge of honour for any supplier that has provided the Royal Family with a good service for over 5 years. These highly sort after awards are always seen as a sign of excellence and quality. Taking this on board it is no surprise how highly prized the hunter wellies have become.

Now we have a basic overview of the brand, it's time to move on to the styles. If you're looking for more history behind the brand, try the wikipedia page, Hunter wellies.

However, it's not just the usual black and green -these boots are available in a rainbow of colours. The original boot is the iconic welly which started the incredible hunter journey. It has had several different styles attached to it;
