Before, you used to laugh at those parents who did overly elaborate preparations for their child’s birthday party. In your mind, you are saying, “It is just a kid’s party!” But now that you are a parent yourself, you finally understand what the fuss is all about. Your child is so precious to you that you want this special milestone in his life to be something that would truly be memorable.

Like most parents, you want to give your kid a birthday bash that is like no other. And one way to do that is to add a theme to the event. For your little one, you know there is no other better theme than a cowboy party, since this can give the party venue that Wild Wild West ambience that most kids love.

To give you some ideas on how to hold the coolest cowboy party ever, here are some things you might want to consider.

Cleaning Cowboy Boots

Dress Up that Little Cowboy

Since your kid would be the focal point of this celebration, it is a must to ensure that he is properly dressed for the event. From the cowboy hat to the kids cowboy boots, and of course, the Western clothing in between, you need to perfect his look. For practical reasons, you may want to invest on high quality boots that your kid would still be able to use even after the party. Some brands like Harley and John Deere Boots boast of high quality and at the same time offer a line for kids.

Deck the Halls Cowboy Style

Turn the party place into a rodeo scene by incorporating all sorts of cowboy stuff into the decoration. Cover the tables with red and white checkered tablecloths. Dress up the poles with cowboy ropes. Use cowboy hats as table centerpieces, turn them upside down and fill up with candies and treats. You can spice up the place even more by having a saloon entrance made of cardboard as the entryway. Decorate the venue with hay to make it look like a barn. Play Western cowboy music to add to the atmosphere.

Go Wild Wild West with Games and Activities

Gather the kids around for a Western piñata. Play the musical cowboy hats game. Hire a dance instructor to teach not only the kids but also the willing adults how to do the square dance. You can also have the kids play the haystack treasure hunt. To do this, you need to fill up a large sandbox with hay, hide Western items beneath, and then have the children search for these things. The one who finds the most items wins a prize. Now, if money is no object, you can also have a real pony in the backyard for kids to ride on.

Now that you find yourself in the middle of a children’s party celebration, you would surely be happy to get a hold of these ideas that can help turn your kid’s event into something fun, enjoyable, and unforgettable. Just do not stress too much about this and be sure to enjoy it yourself.
