How to Accessorize Baby and Toddler Outfits with Leopard
Leopard and cheetah accents
Leopard and cheetah (often used interchangeably in fashion) can create a fun and lively look for any baby or toddler outfit. But, as with all animal prints it is possible to overdo it. Here are a few tips for accessorizing with leopard print:
Don't mix animal prints: If you're child is wearing leopard print, don't accessorize with zebra or giraffe print.
Don't mix colors: If you're toddler is wearing a neutral brown leopard outfit, then it will look odd if you accessorize with a pink leopard hair bow or with snow leopard shoes.
Do ensure the prints match: Make sure the size and general color of the leopard or cheetah print match. This can sometimes be hard to do when clothing and accessories don't come as a set. The animal print doesn't have to be an exact match but pairing leopard spots of similar size makes a big difference. A dress with large leopard spots will look a little strange paired with tiny cheetah spots.
Pay attention to the number or items that are leopard: As much as I love leopard, I will be the first to admit that it's possible to have too much of a good thing. If you have bought a leopard print top and leopard leggings, then it may be a bit much to add a leopard print ribbon and leopard print booties. Depending on the outfit, you may be able to get away with one or the other. If the baby outfit has leopard accents only, then it shouldn't be a problem to compliment the clothes with both a leopard hair bow and leopard print shoes.
Sometimes it's best to play up another color: If a large portion of the infant outfit is leopard, sometimes it is best to accessorize with a bow or pair of shoes that match another color in the clothing. For example, if you have a leopard dress with pink ribbon detail, perhaps match with a pink headband.

Adorable leopard print ballet flat shoes accented with a black chiffon rose. The shoes are held on with an elastic and the soles are non-skid. These shoes would be great for both special occasions and casual wear.
Fuzzy leopard crib shoe with a black satin ribbon. These would make a great gift - they come in a gift box. Although the sizes range from newborn to toddler 4, I would recommend these for babies that aren't yet walking because they tie with the ribbon. I think this shoe, although beautiful, may be a bit problematic for walking toddlers.

Aren't these animal print thong sandals just the cutest? They would look really great with a sundress or with a pair of capri pants. My daughter was given a similar style of sandal as a gift. She was seventeen months old the first time we put them on and she seemed a little wary at first. But, once we had them on and she saw how cute she looked in the mirror she pranced around the room.
