Halo Manicure, 2013 Nail Trend Alert

Updated on November 26, 2014

The new nail trend: Halo Nails

We see them in the new MAC collection Glamour Daze in matte but they were already here in metallic tones for the Behnaz Sarafpour spring 2011 show and at Chanel this summer

These nails are so classy.

Halo nails are here to stay and I will show you how to achieve this look since there are no tutorials yet on You Tube I will explain how I do it.

It is very easy and gives amazing results.

How To Recreate The Look

Mac Glamour Daze Halo Nails

For the MAC look, simply put the black nail polish all over the nail, let it dry really good and then put the pink in an oval shape leaving the edges in black.

Put a top coat on it.

Keep nails short it looks better for this manicure.

For the Chanel look just use a metallic color as your base.

Butter London has the best metallic colours.

I hadn't seen this trend before but I like it - I'd never be able to do it myself though!

I don't like the black halo at all. It just makes the nails look dirty. With a lighter color it might be OK.
