The Most Comfortable Shoes I've Ever Owned | Kalso Earth

Kalso Earth Shoes - Comfort Meets Funky Style

Kalso Earth salmon pink razor shoes, oh my! These are my favorite most comfy shoes these days. Unless it's my gladiator style strappy sandals. Or maybe my white casual tennies. No, it's a tie between the salmon pink ones and the strappy gladiator.

Now I love shoes as much as the next woman, but I also love comfort. I really can't squeeze myself into shoes that aren't comfortable. As I grow older especially, making sure my feet are bathed in comfort while also sporting a modicum of style is most important to me.

Thankfully, style doesn't have to go out when the comfort comes in and Kalso Earth is doing a fantastic job of creating great shoes that fit a variety of lifestyle needs and desires. From vegan flip flops to hearty boots, you're sure to find something to make you smile.

Kalso Earth Shoes have been around since the late 1960s and were trend setting even back then. Known as the original wellness shoe, they were developed by Anne Kalso, a Danish yoga instructor. She noticed her posture when standing in sand at the beach and wanted a shoe that would help the body mimic that posture. Negative heel technology was born! The negative heel technology of Kalso Earth Shoes feels similar to standing in mountain pose for all you yogis out there. It feels secure, solid and balanced to me. And my body feels aligned (and we all need a bit of alignment in our lives!). For all the technical jazz, visit Kalso Earth directly. For more on my favorite, read on!

Oh, and guess I should have polished my toe nails. (I never do that.)

P.S. And just a side note...as much as I adore Kalso Earth, not all their shoes have fit me perfectly. I have slightly narrow feet and some of the pairs I have tried were too wide. It helps me to have adjustable straps/laces and stretchy fit types. I have one pair I bought from Ebay that for some reason rubbed my funny heel (see more about this anatomical anomaly below). So I find it best to either find a place I can try the shoes on first OR make sure I can return them easily!

All images (except amazon pictures) copyright laurapeterson215. And they are all my feet. My husband thinks my toes are funny. I think they're fine.

Oh How I Love My Salmon Pink Shoes

Rose Razr Lites

Ok, so the color is officially rose and I guess when they are washed, they do have more of a rose hue than salmon pink...depending on the salmon that is. Let's just say they're funky. And fun. And pink. (And yes, these are the very same shoes I mention in my Squidoo Debut Interview!) And I'm not generally one to choose stand out-ish colors. Normally, I like to blend in, not be a trendsetter when it comes to fashion. Truth be told, I'm really rather fashion inept. I do like that I'm stepping outside of my normal box of bland and "conventional" when I don these puppies, however silly that is. Trendsetter I will never be, yet following my own drum has become a thing to treasure. So, understand that as you read on, dear reader. If you too are fashion challenged, I may be leading you far astray here. My taste may be far afield from the haute couture set. But, I figure, like what YOU like and wear what makes you happy. And these shoes make me happy!

Here's why. Comfort. They are super dooper comfortable. As in all day wear, walking around, standing, doesn't matter. With all Kalso Earth shoes I've loved, I truly love the posture boost I get. I feel solid, like I'm grounded. Like I'm in, well, mountain pose. And it's a great feeling. My feet don't feel tired.

You know all those shoes that are supposedly going to help your butt and your thighs be stronger and make you skinny? (Ok, I made up the skinny part). These are the originals. The first. Not this particular model, but Kalso Earth shoes in general. What I love though is they didn't focus on making your body stronger or that sort of thing. They talked in terms of wellness and posture. Opening breathing passages. Not toned thighs. It's a more all around whole body thing. (From a pair of shoes? Who knew?).

So...my shoes in particular. I love the comfort. See, I have funny heels. I guess I haven't gone around examining people's heels so I don't know how funny they truly are, but I often have trouble with the heel of shoes. My feet rub on them and I wind up with blisters. Not always, but often enough. I'm always wearing a hole in the backs of my sneakers from my bumpy heels. Imperfection in my feet? Perhaps. But it really does create problems with rigid and inflexible shoes.

These are not rigid at all. The heel contours to my foot and is stretchy. It's so easy to pull on and off and never leaves a mark. In short, they are fabulous!

To be fair, I must tell you the one thing I don't like. If it's hot enough outside (and living in Florida, that's around 11 months of the year sadly enough) my feet sweat if I'm not wearing socks. The fabric is synthetic. However, I can simply wear some thin socks and the problem is solved and all is well with my kicks. (And if it's super hot, then I switch to my sandals!)

The worst part is it's hard to find this model. However, look below for some that are super similar (and on my MUST have list) and will be sure to rock your comfort world.

Did I happen to mention that a lot of these shoes can be tossed in the washing machine? I just did that with two pairs of mine (I think I have 6 Kalso Earth pairs so far) and they turned out great. Wouldn't recommend that with leather though. Just thought it worth mentioning.

Fabulous Kalso Earth - So many choices...where to start!

Oh I want these! They have a stretchy back too, so no heel troubles! And I love the color. All the reviews are extremely positive. These are great walking shoes (and stylish too). They come in a couple of different colors, when you can find them.

I'm looking for a casual closed toe shoe and these are looking great. They come in 4 different colors. The only question I'll have is if they are narrow enough for my foot.

Now these. Beautiful. I love the Kalso is trendy and current and the shoes don't have that clunky orthopedic look. These would be fabulous for summer! And fall. And anytime (remember, I live in FL).

I have a slightly different version of these, the cozumel (the pink and white sandals with black sole). I LOVE them. I wear them walking a lot. I'd love a slip on too and these would be fantastic. Comes in lots of great colors (for some reason, I can only choose khaki or black to show you...Click on the link and you'll see all the other much more colorful colors). Great for the beach and all your summer fun (and oh so comfortable too).

Fantastic Other Places To Buy Kalso Earth Shoes

Amazon is fabulous when it comes to buying things. But sometimes I want to shop around. Here are some other places you can get great deals and sometimes deep discounts on Kalso Earth Shoes (and other brands and other items too).

Kalso Earth Women's Prosper Oxford - I want these. I really really want these!

I promised to find a similar pair to my loved razr shoes. Here they are. Similar in design and material, they will do the job! And I adore the new style. And colors. The colors on amazon are much better. Click and you'll see cream (with orange accents), taupe (with red accents) lime, silver/gold, white and black. With a swirl on the side. Oh, I just love the whole shoe. With a stretchy and soft collapsible heel, you'll be able to pop them on and off super fast and easy (one of my favorite features about my razr's). And they are stylish! Whether walking around town, or out of the trail, you'll feel great and look great too!

Oh, and I have so many more pairs I want. I pretty much don't wear other shoes anymore. Only Kalso Earth. I haven't tried all the other comfortable brands out there (would like to try Keen, Merrell and some others but there are still so many Kalso's that I have yet to get through and I'm pretty loyal!) but why would I? When I've found something that works so well...why fix it if it ain't broke?

oh wow i like you and your toes!!... my fellow fan of KALSO Earth Shoe!!

I wore the KALSO negative heel oxford Earth Shoe in the 70s and was just able to procure a Vintage pair yesterday through Ebay only pair and was in my size!! This is the shoe that is my hearts desire. I told my friend that if I didn't get that pair I would die. I want more. Why have they stopped being made? How can I get more of that shoe?

Oooooo I didn't know about this brand. I've been a Croc wearer for ages now and I'm addicted to comfy shoes. I live in Florida too so happy cool feet are a must so thanks for tips about the socks but the sandal range looks interesting too. Thanks for sharing.

You know, I had a pair of Kalso Earth Shoes back when they first came out. As I recall I loved how they felt on my feet, though I often wondered why I chose the odd yellow color (I wasn't very color savvy then, still not now). Through the years I've wondered whatever happened to those shoes. Anyway, thank you for re-introducing me to the brand. The older I get, the fewer uncomfortable shoes I buy - I want my feet to be happy!

I found some really comfy clogs (no, not crocs), called sloggers that really feel cushy on my feet. I can't wear them all the time, though I wish I could. I'll ponder over the ones you show here as I need to expand my selection.

@knitstricken: I love that you love them too! It's funny, I'm not a huge shoe woman. I mean, I like them, I like them to look good, but I'm not obsessed. But when I scroll through pages with Kalso Earth shoes, I want SO many of them. Boots, sandals, slightly dressier, casual...there are so many choices!

Excellent review of Kalso Earth shoes! Where have I been? I've never heard of these...but you have definitely piqued my interest! To be honest, I don't wear shoes much...I'm not the typical shoe-loving female...I have a pair of walking shoes, a pair of high heel boots, and a pair of old sandals that are literally falling apart. It's time for a couple of new pairs, so I'll definitely check these out! Thanks! :)

I too am a huge fan of Kalso Earth shoes! I have about five pairs and in facy, my go-to, slog-around-the-muck shoes I wear around the farm are Kalso Earth shoes! They're great! I feel terrific wearing them, and I love the funky styles! Thanks for being a fellow Kalso-er and for making this stellar lens! Hooray!
