Packable Raincoats for Women

Updated on June 4, 2014

Raincoats for Women That Are Great for Travel

Do you or someone you know travel and need to pack a raincoat? Do you need the jacket or coat to look great on the other end? If so, packable raincoats for women are a must!

There's nothing worse than opening your luggage to find your raincoat creased and untidy from the trip. Certain fabrics just hold up better to being packed away in a suitcase than others.

A travel raincoat with a nice compact umbrella makes a great gift idea! These great raincoats that will keep you looking good rain or shine.

Pack Smart

Raincoats That Don't Take Up Much Space

Gone are the days of big, bulky fabrics that coats are typically made of. The newer fabrics allow manufacturers to now make outerwear that is streamlined, not only in design, but in weigh and bulk.

I love the feel of a nice stylish raincoat that is lightweight but wind and rain resistance. These newer fabrics offer the same, if not better, protection against the elements but are so much less. Yes, less!

~ They're not so heavy to wear.

~ They are less wrinkly when you pack them.

~ And they take up less room in your bag.

Packable Raincoats for All

Okay, I really like all of these raincoats and jackets. The fabric used now is so nice and lightweight that wearing one of these is comfortable and easy, not like the old-fashioned heavy treated cloth they used to use in rain gear.

Nice choices - I always have a packable raincoat in the trunk of my car, just in case. When I went to Paris one year, a raincoat and compact umbrella were the first items in and out of my suitcase. Boy did I need them!

I don't wear a raincoat in the rain because I don't have really need to get one. When my daughter got married it was outside, so as a precaution, since it was in a botanical garden and we couldn't erect tents, I bought inexpensive single packaged rain ponchos in bright colors from Oriental Trading. It didn't rain, so I've been working my way through them over the past 10 years, and am on the last it's time to buy a raincoat!

I went on vacation a few years ago in August and I think it rained at least a part of every single day and I hadn't thought to pack a rain coat. It was chilly too and I din't plan for that because it was August. I borrowed an umbrella and bought a hooded zip sweatshirt. I would have loved to have any from your collection. I do like earth tones, so that one in your intro would be nice to have.
