Top Five Purse Organizers
Organizing Purses for Frazzled Souls
If you love purses and have lots of them, or if you just simply lose things in it a lot, chances are you could benefit from a way to organize the inside of your purse.
Purse organizers—an insert that you can simply place into the bag you are using then slip it out and into another one later—are one of the greatest organizing ideas ever. We put so much stuff into our purses that it is very easy to lose things like keys, coin purses, wallets, or cell phones in what really might not be that big of a space.
I tend to carry a smaller purses (otherwise I find myself trying to carry everything including, the kitchen sink!) and try to not place that much stuff in them, but I still manage to lose my keys as they slide their way down to the very bottom of whatever bag I am using and hide underneath my eyeglass case and checkbook. Other times, it is my cell phone that finds its way to the depths of my purse, but usually only right before it starts to ring. Whatever it is you are looking for, whether it is a pen, lip gloss or cell phone, if you want it now, it's at the bottom of your bag.
So the solution is a purse organizer. And there are many great options out there to choose from so you can find the one that best fits your needs. Based on my search through a lot of organizers, here are the ones I thought to be the best.
Kwiki Purse Organizers
You'll find it in colors such as red, black, and khaki (which seems to be a popular choice amongst reviewers as it is a nice neutral color, but more than that, its light color makes it easier to see what's inside).
Nicole M. Moore says this about her Amazon purchase of the Kwiki Purse Insert Organizer KHAKI Medium by BagnBasket: "How handy IS this?! I have a purse habit. I admit it! But I cannot stand having to constantly switch my 'stuff' from purse to purse. This organizer is perfect! Just the right size, keeps my things organized and reachable... I would order this again in a heartbeat!"
Pouchee Ultimate Purse Organizers
The Pouchee is another well-rated handbag organizer on Amazon.com that seems to be a good choice for small to medium sized purses, but less so for large ones.
It comes in many colors, measures 7 1/2" x 5", and features metal rings for you to grab to lift it out of your bag. The lined interior has three open pockets, two side slip pockets, and a front wall zip pocket. The center also has a magnetic snap closure. One of the things I really like is the exterior with three large open pockets (good for many things such as reading glasses or a cell phone), one long thin pocket (for a pen), and on the other side, five credit card slots (which makes it sort of wallet-like).
Rebecca Gunderson had this to say about her Pouchee Purse Organizer: "I LOVE my new Pouchee! This product is the perfect answer -- it holds all my 'stuff' easily and fits nicely into most of the bags I carry. I've tried many other organizational products and am thrilled that I finally found the one that works for me! It easily transfers from one bag to another virtually eliminating the hassle! I am one happy camper!!"
The Purseket Organizer
The Purseket is the original purse organizer. It has been featured on Oprah as well as in several trend-spotting magazines. The Purseket is the ultimate solution to the everyday female problem of purse organizing. Its basic design is a strip of pockets that you place inside your bag so it lines the inside and leaves the center of the bag open for bigger items like wallets and make-up cases. To change bags, just roll up the Purseket and unroll it into the new bag. Probably one of the best advantages of the Pursket over other organizers is the way it rolls out to line the sides of your purse, making it adaptable to many different sizes and shapes of purses, which is great if change bags often.
Here's a review by Victoriajv at the amazon.com website about the medium green sea Bubbles Purseket organizer: "I really like this product in fact, after I bought this one, I bought another larger one. Really helps keeping my handbag organized and it makes it very simple to change purses. The only thing I would change is perhaps make some pockets a little bigger and some smaller. Just my opinion, it works well as is! I would also like to see a nicer fabric options."
Although I used to often find this brand at Amazon.com, it now looks like to find the exact style and size you want, you may need purchase it at purseket.com.
Presto Purse Organizer
The Presto purse organizer is different from many of the others in that it is two pieces that are held together by Velcro and can be split apart, so you have two organizers. This is great for when you are switching from a large purse to a medium one. Just separate the pieces, put one in the smaller purse and either leave the other in the large purse or store it in your drawer or closet until you want it again.
Together, the two pieces give you 20 different compartments: Pretty impressive.
The Presto purse organizer fits medium to large bags, has over 20 compartments, and, because it splits in two, you get two organizers in one.
Lady Elegance Purse Organizer
While it was not my favorite The Lady Elegance purse organizer made it to my list as it seems to be good for small purses and have some features that are wallet like, such as it has six credit card slots and a zippered change purse. There are also two pockets for lipsticks, a pocket for a pen and a pocket for a cell phone. The larger center opening can hold an actual wallet or other larger items. Many of the reviewers on amazon.com say the pockets run on the small side though, so be aware of that.
