The Rockabilly Hairstyle
Rockabilly Hairstyles are making a come back!
For women it was a layered haircut medium to long in length that could be done in many sleek looks. A woman's Rockabilly hairstyle might have a smooth bang and the hair is really shiny.
This women's look can also be referred to as a pin up hairstyle.
A man's Rockabilly hairstyle was long on the top and short in the back. The top was usually made into what is called a Pompadour. Poofed on the top and slicked back.
Rockabilly Hairstyle Looks For Women
Get ideas for the classic pinup look!
There are plenty of different Rockabilly hairstyle looks for women to choose from. If you want to stand out from the rest, you can have the Bad Girl look called "Psychobilly Hairstyles" and have jet black hair color with manic panic vampire red. Then there is the classic Bettie Page look with bangs that is very popular.
To get the classic pin up Bettie Page look, you need the length of your hair to be long and flowing but not too long.
To style the hair you will need to apply a styling gel or cream in your hair first before you start your styling.
Apply the styling cream to your hair and let dry naturally if it is wavy. If it is not wavy, then use a large barrel curling iron and make waves with it not ringlet curls.
Re-apply the cream to your dry hair to tame frizz. For the bangs you can either have your bangs cut short or you can roll them like they appear short. There is a video tutorial on how to do this below. And, most important... Always have plenty of hair spray!
