Some essential oils are not compatible. Do not mix too many oils together. I try to keep it under three essential oils per recipe, but sometimes four are needed. Use light and delicate carrier oils, that are absorbed easily into the skin. You don't want to make a mess, that will put off most of the people. Use only 3% essential oils in your carrier, otherwise you risk to irritate the skin or even burn it. Essential oils are very strong.

To measure up your oils use the following conversion guide:

  • 220 drops average = 1 tablespoon (it may vary between 150 - 360)
  • 16 tablespoons = one cup
  • 4 tbsp = quarter-cup
  • 1 fluid ounce = 2 tablespoons
  • 1 cup = 8 fluid ounces
