What's in the Box?

Like many others I like to wear nail polish and pretty nail art designs. And, like many others sometimes, there just doesn't seem to be enough time to just sit and let nail polish dry. Creating nail art designs by hand takes time and even more drying time. This is one of the reasons why I wanted to try some Sally Hansen salon effects real nail polish strips.

These nail stickers come in a nail art kit with 16 strips of real nail polish, a cuticle stick and a mini-file. The instructions for application are also in the box. However, I kind of did my own thing while applying these nail polish strips.

How to Apply Nail Wraps

First, just like I always do. I have no need to push back the cuticles on my fingernails so, I applied a base coat of Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails and then allowed the coat of clear nail polish to dry.

Next, I peeled the clear plastic off the top of the nail polish strips. I then used my fingernails to tear the strips in half - one at a time while applying them. So, I used one strip for two fingernail beds, while applying them simply with my fingers and pads of my fingers. I barely made use of the orange stick. After applying the real nail polish strip I just barely filed off the extra nail polish strip against the edge of my nail using the mini-file.

After Applying the Nail Wraps

After applying nail art wraps I applied a top coat of Hard as Nails and then allowed it to dry completely.

I applied these real nail polish strips 2 weeks ago according to the dates on the photos, and they were taken 2 days after actually applying the nail polish strips. I've done a lot of typing and a light round of housework here and there so, there's been a bit of wear. The nail polish strips still look good after two weeks and it showing the growth of the nails since application. I'll soon be removing the polish. Nevertheless, the wear on these nail polish strips has only been some very minor flaking around the upper edges of my nails.

Thoughts about Nail Wraps

I like them, they look nice and were easy enough to apply. I'll use the rest I have left.

I'm thinking since, some of them are so large that they might also work well for toenail polish.
