Sea and Nature Inspired Jewelry
Jewelry - Colours, Creatures, Flowers of the Sea and Land
There's something magical and soothing about the sea and nature that inspires jewellers to make jewelry that mimics fish, sea creatures, flowers, insects, plants and animals.
Maybe it's the sound of waves washing up on the shore or receding from the shoreline.
Maybe it's the reflection of the blue skies on a sunny day in the waters that give it that calming blue colour or the refreshing green and brown of nature.
Or the magical and bright colours of the flowers, underwater fish and sea creatures that conjure up feelings of peace and happiness? Or an attempt to play "creator" as they patiently shape the delicate identifying features and complete with colour from a gem or precious metal.
Now take your love of the sea and nature wherever you wish with these beautiful pieces of jewellery inspired by the colours and forms of the sea and nature. Sea and nature inspired jewelry made from Swarovski Crystal, Gold, White Gold, Silver, Gold-filled or fashion jewelry.
And before you leave, I will share with you some simple jewellery cleaning tips so your jewellery can last you a lifetime and beyond.

For many, crystal is a precious gem which symbolizes light, purity and innocence. Swarovski Crystal is one of the most world renowned brands of crystal and is well known because of its precision cuts, clarity, and sparkle.

STERLING SILVER Jewelry
Silver is associated with mental, physical and emotional cleansing, since it is said to draw out negative energy and replace it with positive energy. Silver also has soothing and calming properties and is said to enhance speech and public speaking.

GOLD FILLED Jewelry - Tortoise Shell, Sea Snake, Dolphin & Rainbow Colours!
Gold-filled jewelry is comprised of a solid layer of gold that is bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal such as copper or brass. The gold is placed over these base metals to give the appearance of solid gold. Gold-filled jewellery is, surprisingly, very durable and can last up to 30 years; depending on the manufacturer.

WHITE GOLD Jewelry - The Lily & the Turtle!
White gold is produced by mixing yellow gold with other metals such as silver, nickel, zinc and copper. The mix of yellow gold to other metals is about 75% yellow gold to 25% other metals. The introduction of these other metals gives white gold its whitish hue.
Gold is a precious metal which, in previous centuries, was associated with royalty, wisdom and power. Today, although the price of gold is still high, more people can access gold and it is still recognized as a symbol of wealth, prosperity, good health and success.
FASHION & COSTUME Jewelry
Since fashion or costume jewelry does not usually contain a significant amount of precious metal, what is most important when choosing costume or fashion jewellery is style, colour and your mood - red for energy, yellow for fun, green for nature, white for purity, purple for royalty, blue for tranquillity or brown, if you're in a rustic mood.
JEWELRY CLEANING TIPS
The process for cleaning your crystal, silver, yellow gold, white gold and gold plated jewellery is the same and very easy. To clean any of the afore-mentioned types of jewelry, you will need to do the following:
1. Place the pieces of jewellery to be cleaned in a bowl or container.
2. Mix some mild detergent and a teaspoon of baking soda in some lukewarm water.
3. Pour the lukewarm mixture into the bowl or container with the jewelry.
4. Leave it soaking in the mixture for about 30 minutes in order to loosen dirt and grime.
5. Use a soft brittle toothbrush to gently brush away any visible dirt and grime.
6. Rinse the jewellery in clean room temperature water.
7. Pat the jewelry dry with a soft cloth until all the water has been removed from the jewellery
8. Place the jewellery on soft tissue or cloth and let it air dry for about 30 minutes to ensure that all moisture is removed.
The process for cleaning Costume or Fashion Jewelry is slightly different. DO NOT soak your costume or fashion jewellery in water. Try to use as little water as possible since this tends to "turn" the colour of the jewelry. Firstly, use a toothpick to remove visible dirt and grime. Then use a soft damp cloth or a damp soft brittle toothbrush to gently rub away dirt and restore shine. Finally, use a soft dry cloth to dry the jewellery and ensure that all moisture has been removed.
