Shaving your eyebrows, what happens afterwards?

Updated on June 26, 2015

How I shaved my eyebrows

I shove half of mine for my Halloween costume and will share my story here. Feel free to go straight to The Most Important Thing for the procedure I used and learn the ending.

Relax! It has a happy ending!

This is the Before picture.

Suddenly half of my Eyebrow was shaved

Quick decision great solution, and later?

This past Halloween I decided I wanted to be a witch, a sexy witch. At work they have a costumes contest so, as much as I didn't badly to win I did want to look great. I found a very cheap little girl's witch long costume at Walmart and since I'm peitite and didn't really want to spend too much time worrying about a costume I decided to try it on and keep it if it fit.

It did! Apparently someone else had also thought about buying that dress since right next to it was a cool witch had. I got that one too.

On the afternoon of the 31st, still with the dozens of little braids I had done earlier that morning to shape my hair I was standing in front of the mirror puzzled about what to do with my eyebrows. I had checked a few youtube videos and I had an idea of what I wanted and it called for "Mr Spock" like eyebrows.

"Ahhh" sighed I. And wondered what it would be like to have my eyebrows shaved. Again I went to youtube for help. It wasn't that helpful because what I wanted to know was if my eyebrows would look the same or if anything horrendous would happen to them.

My comon sense was telling me that in the same way as shaved hair from other parts of my body grew back the same would happen to my eyebrows. I was kinda in a hurry. So I decided to go for it.

Straight to the point for those who like shortcuts

I made my eyebrows wet, applied soap - hands soap - took the razor, calculated where I needed to start shaving from and simply went for it. As if I was shaving my legs, but the strokes were in the direction of the hair. I made sure to get all the hair removed in just one stroke. I needed 2 times for my left eyebrow though. Quick and simple. I had to paint the missing eyebrow for the following 6 weeks, but I am glad to announce that for the past week and a half I have gone au natural once again!

My make up was praised! Hooray! - Did my effort get my any prize? Yep, my praised make up was prized ;)

3rd prize. Not bad for not badly wanting a prize.

As you can see from the picture it was amateur make up. I'm not a makeup expert, I can barely make my self up for the daily requirements! haha. But for expert advise we have youtube!

This is the end of my story. Feel free to ask any questions. I will gladly reply to them asap.

Happy squidooing!

Would I do it again?

I often ask myself this...

... and I can't come up with an answer!

Hhmm... I would say yes, I would. Two months wait time is no big deal. However the next time I would definitely invest in some good make up artist so that it is well worth spending two months drawing the remainder of my eyebrow.

I sure loved that almost perfect Dr. Spock eyebrow I wore that day!

My eyebrows looked perfect! unlike the eyebrows of the lady in the video. ..
