Sheer Cover Mineral Makeup

Updated on February 7, 2018

Not too long ago I saw an ad for Sheer Cover makeup and thought I would give it a try. I used to get a lot of breakouts (especially at that time of the month) but as I've gotten older my skin has changed. In the past it seemed to be a lot oilier too but now it tends to be more on the dry side.

The makeup I had been using wasn't great. I didn't like the feeling that I was "wearing makeup" and after a while, especially on hot days, I felt like I just wanted to wash my face. As well I have some tiny red spots and the concealers I've tried in the past didn't work. They might cover for a bit, but as the day wore on they wore off.

So with nothing to lose, I decided to give Sheer Cover a try. What a difference. It is lightweight and easily covers any imperfections on my skin. I have a few scars from when I had chicken pox as a kid and it covers them very nicely.

The Reasons Why I Like Applying Sheer Cover Makeup

The number one reason why I like this makeup is that it doesn't look like I'm wearing any makeup at all. Another thing I like about this makeups is that It doesn't change color throughout the day and as well it doesn't make my face look oily or dry out my skin. When I use the makeup I just add some concealer on the blemishes and then brush on the foundation all over my face. It gives my face a glow without looking oily.

I also like that it is 100% natural and uses botanicals, sun protection and anti-oxidant green tea. I don't want to put any chemicals or anything artificial on my skin! Most products these days tend to talking about being "natural" but on closer inspection there are a list of unpronounceable words that tell me they aren't natural at all!

I tend to have slightly sensitive skin so I want to be careful what I put on it. I've had products in the past that made my face break out but Sheer Cover seems to have helped to heal my skin. I may not be a movie star or a model, but I can look like one!

Update: I'm still using this product after several months and I like how natural my makeup looks. Also it feels like I'm not wearing anything at all. I must confess that I don't use it every day if I'm just hanging out at home. But for work or a dinner date, I can now put on my makeup and know that I look healthy and it looks natural.

Sheer Cover Studio Foundation Brush
Sheer Cover Studio Foundation Brush

The perfect foundation brush to apply your Sheer Cover makeup. I found it works nicely in holding the mineral foundation without brushing a load of it all in one spot on my face. The brush is very soft so it won't damage your skin.

How to Use Sheer Cover Makeup

Before putting on the makeup you need to cleanse and moisturize your face. Once your face is dry, apply the concealer using a brush or your fingertip by blending under the eye or areas where there are blemishes, scars or dark spots.

Next you will add the foundation. Just tap or shake a small amount into the lid of the jar and then just dip your foundation brush into the powder. Don't forget to tap off any excess powder before applying.

Using a circular motion and working from the outside in, blend the foundation over your cheeks, nose, chin and forehead.

After applying the foundation you you can apply the Bronzing Minerals to give you face a glow. Use a brush and reapply during the day when you feel the need to add color to your face.

Don't forget to add some eye shadow and then one or two coats of Lengthening Mascara. You can also add lash Extending Fibers to achieve long lashes without using a false set.
