This here is the original content of what was on Squidoo. This hub has loads of tips and tricks for skin care, Healthcare, Nails, Shower, and so much more. This is just a small sampling as to what I have covered on this page alone. Zi's beauty Balm will bring you beauty news, product reviews and more up to date Beauty news.
I have extended the beauty balm beyond HubPages as their platform does not hold up to all the information I have, and so is more of an introduction.
There's a variety of ways to exfoliate your skin and depending on your point of view the best time to do it is during the winter with the dry dead skin, as well as the summer for a nice even tan.
There's light to coarse exfoliating but that would depend on your skin type and its sensitivity
There are EXFOLIATING CLEANSERS
like the Ocean Salt cleanser from LUSH made with natural Sea salt to exfoliate your skin
Dark Angels facial cleanser from Lush it looks like tar, and around Halloween will work well to use as a beard if you go the hobo route for Halloween (instead of using that gross thick Halloween makeup that's a problem to get off.
LOOFA which you have to rub in a Counterclockwise motion until you are pink to reddish in tone
a PUMICE STONE for your feet & legs (& DANG! Your legs come out silky smooth! Put some lotion or baby oil on those legs after doing so, whether its Winter or summer.
This is a good idea to do BEFORE Waxing as it will clear dead skin cells out of the way so if there's any hair just under the skin you will get to that too. Then when you shower next day do it again to prevent ingrown hairs.

Wax on, Wax off
This is a new section I thought to include, WHY? Well as it seems everything I like or that works well for me gets discontinued so I had to switch waxes from Gigi's microwaveable no strips needed Blue wax to something else. I stuck with the Gigi name & found Honee Wax. I tried it on my eyebrows & the fine hairs on my lip & chin, I thought using this wax & having to use the strips to pull it off would hurt more if I did it myself but know what... I had no qualms about it, also just to let ya know how little I have that it didn't hurt...I was thinking of trying to do my underarms with it.

For those of you that might want to try & save some money (or see if you can doing it yourself), There's 4 things you need (maybe 5)
1. Honee Wax
2. Muslin strips (thin ones for eyes, lips & chin, Wide ones for legs etc) however I did find a different type I liked on Amazon but I'm not sure what you'd call it.
3. Popsicle Sticks (& maybe some tongue depressors if you are doing larger areas)
4. Baby Oil.. (That's really all that stuff is in the kits, plus it gets the wax off) You can comb some into your eyebrows so the wax won't stick to them and won't remove what the hairs you do want.
I included the one with Aloe & Vitamin E to soothe & heal area better
5. baby powder... (I put a little on my skin or part of my eyebrow where I want to soak up excess oil.)

Products tips & more
When you buy Shower Items, try layering the scent, with a Body Wash, Lotion & Shower/body spritz, as well. Some Good Places to find products with a variety of products in the same scent is Avon as well as Bath & Bodyworks
*Being most Perfumes & Colognes are full of alcohol, spray a bit into your hand first then rub, this will evaporate some of the alcohol for a longer lasting scent
*try medium to light scents, you don't want your dates to be choking on too heavy of scents (especially if they have allergies)
*if it's a spray; spritz once each (say on your) neck, arms, and one on your chest or back of yours. Even if it's a light scent you don't need to smell like you took a bath in it. (though a shower spray is light and there usually isn't a problem with these
if it's not a spray then when you put it in your hands rub together Spread the scent a bit on your neck, chest & arms.
TAR -if for some reason you somehow got some on you (or a product like it) don't fret, you can get it off with rubbing Alcohol or Astringent
Make Your own BB Cream
You will need
*Concealer / cover-up
*Moisturizer w/ SPF
You can mix on your hand or make a batch in a small jelly container (like the travel or sample size)
Classic Revlon Reds
Fix Broken Powders
*Plastic wrap over the powder & crush the bigger bits into smaller finer powder
* using a dropper, drop 2-3 drops of alcohol in & mix around a bit
*smooth powder out
Make your own GEL eyeshadow!
Instead of spending money for a shade you may only use once or you may end up not liking, Use one of your own!
*shake out some of your eyeshadow (if you have loose, Otherwise scrape some out into a small container or onto a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper.
*mix in a little bit of vaseline (or like product)
& You're all set to put it on.

Those enlarged dark purple veins are the work of weakened valves & for some women hormonal changes. After the blood goes down into your legs, it defies gravity & goes back up towards the heart where tiny valves open & then close so that it doesn't go back where it came from.

basic hair care and tips
Brush out first
WASHING your hair EVERY day will strip your hair of its natural oils, and you will get split ends faster.
Blot hair with towel (if its long hair as rubbing caused tangles)
Don't brush your hair when its wet. brush it when it's just slightly damp or fully dry. Finger brush your hair when wet, to get out the tangles.
During the summer you can skip every other day.
If you work out and have to wash it every day, use a conditioner or better yet, a leave-in conditioner.
During the winter you can go 2 days as not only does it strip your hair of the oils, its dries it out as well.
When you do wash your hair, use a bit of leave in conditioner
I used to tell this to a girl I used to work with & she wouldn't believe me, so when she told me after a haircut about this I had done the I told you so! I was telling her for YEARS
CONDITIONER keep it to a minimum when you put it on, put on from halfway down your hair & then toward your tops. Then put the bottom of your hair on your scalp & move it around up there a little. They say that if you put the conditioner directly on your scalp that's how you get the buildup. However, they have also said you don't need it near your scalp but hey your hairs have follicles etc all over right.
SHAM WOW! I tried it & loved it, it really works! The Sham-wow w/ my thick hair took out the excess water, plus I left it around my shoulder w/ a hair clip& absorbed more. Some of my hair in front was already dry in about a half hour!! Which usually takes an hour or 2 to just START to
MAINTAIN A HAIRCUT First visit an experienced stylist; a precise cut look better for longer than one from a novice hand. If you have short hair, which often requires monthly appointments, go with a style that grows out well. * after a haircut, keep your ends hydrated by using a daily leave-in conditioner. (I personally use The Garnier Fructis one) If they look fuzzy some days, work in a dab of shine-enhancing oil (serum) to smooth them. * Five or six weeks after your cut, when split ends start to appear, try an at-home glossing treatment to help seal strands and add shine. * if you have bangs, trim them. Smooth down dry hair with a comb, then hold your shears so that the tips point up at a slight angle and trim a bit at a time. Don't snip horizontally, which can lead to overcutting (before any trimming of hair at least mist it a little with some water. A dry cut can lead to fast split ends. you are 'talking' to a person that does this OFTEN! I do this every 3 months. Sometimes I leave regular conditioner in when I trim it myself, & looked quite nice. When I've done it that way I was asked where did I go to get it done!)
*Blow-dry your hair? If yes, do not blow the air up it damages your hair shaft, blow down so you do not 1. Damage your hair, 2. You will have less to no frizz at all & 3. It will look a lot shinier!
Move the dryer around so you won't burn your hair or scalp.
*Prevent Hair Loss- Message scalp with extra olive oil (the Golden color is best) every evening for eight days. Let it work overnight and wash it out in the morning. (If you have dry scalp or have dull hair put a dime to quarter size in the palm of your hand and work it through while in the shower before you wash your hair. leave on for a minute or more, then rinse out. Your hair should be shinier when it dries.
Don't worry if you pluck out a grey hair.. they don't multiply what happens in one hair follicle does not affect the others. The color is determined by a pigment called melanin; as you age, less of it may be produced and the pigment cells in the hair die your hair turns white. You can slow the rate at which you gray. Whatever you do don't just yank it out, cut it, as yanking it out could traumatize the follicle.

Dying tips because you don't want your hair to look dead.
When you get your hair colored.
Ask your stylist if a CLEAR GLOSS Treatment is complimentary. (Good Housekeeping mentions that sometimes it is.) The treatment holds in the color by sealing the hair shafts. & try NOT to wash your hair for 2 days. (in other words, if you get it done on Friday.. wait until Sunday. Hot water opens up the pores in your hair & the coloring leaks out (even after the 2 days. so when dyed hair try using lukewarm water or as cold as you can stand it. That plus it’s also good for your skin. Hot water dehydrates your skin always good to give yourself a nice cool shower on your hair & body and it’s so refreshing in the summer.
How do I Get HAIR DYE OFF HANDS & NAILS?
This home remedy usually does the job: Squeeze Lime or lemon juice over skin & nails (citric acid is a natural bleaching agent) . Let set for a few minutes, then scrub clean w/ a nail brush. OR try moistening a tablespoon of table salt (sea salt would be best as it would scrub in between pores & creases) with a few drops of white or cider vinegar, & use as a scrub. (with or w/o the nail brush) Rinse extremely well in warm water; then moisturize with your lotion or olive oil.
After a hair coloring, (pro or DIY) do not shampoo for at least 24 hours. This will help the pigments set.
EXTENDING HAIRCOLOR Rich color makes hair look healthy, shiny, & thicker and can even brighten a face. But within a month fading or visible roots can sour the effect. * to keep your shade vibrant longer, use shampoos & conditioners formulated for colored hair; they contain gentle cleansing agents that won't remove color from the hair shafts. (I use the Neutrogena colored hair shampoo when mine is) *Once a week, you can swap in a color depositing shampoo, which leaves behind a layer of semi permanent pigment for a subtle boost. (do not use one every day however as those pigments can build up and alter a pro color.) *When roots begin to show, apply a temporary color with an easy liquid touch up wand. Dab directly onto roots, then comb the strands to distribute (extra benefit: hair looks thicker) The no-commitment shade will wash out during the next shampoo

Health isn't just Exercising and eating right.
Health is overall, You need to be Mentally, Emotionally & Physically healthy to feel good. If one is 'off' then that can throw the others off as well. I'll include some items to try & keep each part of you healthy
is your work environment noisy or 1 or a few People constantly Blabbing at you whether on the phone, at work or??? If you can't exactly tell them to Shut The heck up then, figure out a way to tune them out' (with some this is very hard!)
* Listen to music or anything on a headset (better yet just put a headset on (covering both ears) Better yet.. make sure you put it on as soon as you get in.
* On Break, Train, Plane or Bus bring a book with you and read a fantasy or something that can get you out of reality & get to relaxing.
* take up a hobby that will relax you. Do you have an idea for a story, even a few ideas? You can fit them into a story (see my Epic Ballad of Poetry Lens esp. the blog Noted on it)
FEELING ON EDGE? Give yourself some "C" try an orange juice smoothie or add lemon to your tea. Vitamin C has been proven to alleviate anxiety. The fresh, citrus aroma will 'center' you too!
feeling Depressed or have anxiety? Brown Rice, Banana, Spinach & Eggs are mood boosters
Environmental Stress- Smells, Noise, Glaring lights & then some, All those jolts to your senses add up to the tension in your body (& doesn't help the blood pressure) Bright Lights increase tension, look out a window or use a screen save that's a nature scene. Listen to Music- it helps to steady breathing and you can listen to easy listening, ocean waves, heck listen to heavy metal (or as I call it anger Management) wearing or touching something soft. Bring along comfy slippers, to wear under your desk and change out of those work clothes (esp. bra) as soon as you get home. Take a whiff of Lavender, Chamomile, Peppermint or just a spritz of your fave perfume. Have a bite of chocolate as people seem to prefer sweets when tensions peak
DIETING... most of the work in managing weight is mental, time it right. Start a diet only when your life is reasonably stable. You need the time & energy from Making time for exercise, controlling what you eat (make out a menu or counting calories.) Anything that may be a stress trigger, so wait a bit before you start that diet. Pick the perfect plan for you. (There's a diet below to try) There's no one ideal diet program. Something may work for your but not for me. Choose one that you can follow 80% of the time. It is also important that the food is easy to find as well as affordable. Als, one that is flexible enough that if you have dinner out won't mess up the whole thing. (check out the one below its ONLY 3 days of dieting!) Conjure up a positive image even before you start to lose weight think of how your life will change how walking up steps you won't get winded how much better you will look in your clothing & that scale going down. Pinpoint Your Motivation is it to reduce your high blood pressure medication, Cholesterol, or fitting into a pair of jeans? Try to come up with three motivators for a good backup system. Be Realistic. Don't expect to lose 50 lbs in 3 months when you didn't gain it in that amount of time. and average of 1-3 pounds a week is realistic, attainable & safe. Know Temptation Tolerance.. Like Pringles says Once you pop you can't stop, then keep the junk food out of site. Get something healthier to substitute it. Maybe Instead of a Chocolate chip cookie, have a chocolate chip granola bar (I like the Quaker ones that are soft & chewy) Practice distraction If you are a mindless muncher or emotional eater remember if you are active the less you will eat. Do something with your hands. Take up a new hobby like sewing, write a story or if you specialize in something make your own webpage or easier.. Squidoo lens! Go walk, read a book (with me if I'm reading I munch a bit) take some sort of class (just nothing to do with food!) Have a mantra Repeat something like I can do this & repeat it. if you start feeling hungry or just go to reach for a snack.. reach for the telephone & call a friend or go play a game on Facebook or something of that sort.
*SLEEP--Sleep is important and when you do not get enough of it, you may or will eventually become an emotional disaster! (I've went through this before) Pick the perfect pillow! SIDE sleepers..a firmer pillow is better than a softer one. A pillow should keep your back aligned for maximum comfort. The Lower edge of your pillow should rest between your chin & shoulder. (or better yet, just get one of those ergonomic pillows for side or back sleepers) BACK Sleeper???A Softer Pillow gives you better support then a firmer one. For STOMACH sleepers Use a thin soft pillow so your head is level with your chest. You may want to alternate positions, as sleeping on your stomach can put a strain on your neck
Have things been quite stressful & you feel like you just can't talk to anyone? Make yourself a journal & just write everything into it. If you want throw it out when you are done or keep it & see how you fare in a week, or month & a year! (You might want to hide the journal & if you do it make sure its not on the Business computer!
In a bad, angry mood? Listen to Some metal music I recommend Godsmack (& if there's some particular person(s) that's got your venom Flowing) Listen to the song I F*n Hate you real loud (yeah I know that's not good for the ears but if you try & sing along by the end you may feel a bit better.
In a Sad mood? Then listen to some sort of pop music I think Katy Perry Would be a good choice, something that maybe even you don't really like the song but has a cool rhythm that you find yourself bopping around to (even though you don't want to) would be good.
Are you in a Hyper Mood? Listen to Country music that will bring you down pretty quick (& not the rock-a-billy type stuff) I mean the REAL country music. either that or back to the metal, Thrash is the best as that usually has a very up tempo & moving around to that will wear you out quick. Same goes for house & free style music.
Exercise (of Course) even if it's just cleaning the house. Change up how you exercise each day to keep things interesting, Clean one day, Go walking the next, Lift weights to tone another day, etc. & change up the next week. Because when you do the same thing everyday Your Body gets used to it & then all that exercising becomes a waste of time as you are not losing any weight or toning up as your body is used to what you are doing.
Keep those feet Dry and Warm. Scientists have discovered that our mom's were right. Getting a chill CAN bring on a cold. At Cardiff University in Wales the researchers study showed that people with cold, wet feet are 2 1/2 times more likely to report cold symptoms in the following days, than the people with warm dry feet. What the scientists believe is that the cold feet cause blood vessels in the nose to constrict lowering our defenses in the nose
QUICK TIPS for those COMPUTER CRAMPS
SORE NECK- Position monitor so it's at eye level. So you are reading the words looking straight ahead. Take breaks every 15-20 minutes & turn head from side to side, roll it forward & backwards to keep it from getting stiff.
EYE STRAIN- Every 15 minutes or so look away from the screen at something about 20 feet away from you (Like a tree outside) Keep the screen clean.
BACK STRAIN-Sit up straight. (that's what makes my back hurt though) put a pillow behind your lower back if needed, Doing sit-ups & push-ups also improves your posture and strengthens your back muscles and abs.
SORE WRISTS or FOREARMS - When Typing or mousing be sure your elbows are at a right angle or greater. Your forearms parallel with the floor and wrists are flat.. Take plenty of breaks & loosen things up a bit by ending your wrists forward & backward or squeezing a stress ball.
A backpack & its contents should weigh no more than 10-15% of you or your child's weight. So an 80 lb child would carry no more than 12 pounds. If the teachers are piling on the homework try a wheeled bag. & whatever books are not needed during the school day, or at home if there is one
available.. use the locker (tho' it was because of mine getting broken into so often I just started to carry the 30s lbs of books around instead.).
One of the body's most powerful alarm signals is often a sign of physical or psychological overload. There are several types of headaches, and they differ according to how and where the pain occurs. These include
*Tension- Dull oppressive pain occurring in the temples. Begins at the back of the head and neck or in the forehead and spreads throughout the head. Causes: Muscular tension or bad posture.
*Cluster- piercing burning pain, which occurs on one side of the head and always in the same place. Cause: unknown.
*Simple- Hammering, buzzing, pulsing in the head. Causes: stress, sensitivity to weather or changes in the atmospheric pressure, high blood pressure, fever or lack of oxygen.
*Combination headaches -Dull Oppressive pain that usually begins in the morning and reoccurs between migraine attacks. Causes: unknown. & Migraines-an especially intense form of pain is usually on one side of the head only. They are often accompanied by nausea, vomiting & impaired vision. Causes: hereditary factors or circulatory disturbances in the brain.
A Common cause of a headache is tense muscles in the head or neck. They may also be a symptom of stress, caffeine withdrawal, allergies, certain infectious diseases or the result of too much alcohol. Constricted or expanded blood vessels, as well as altered pressure in the head (which may occur when the weather changes), can also produce headaches. Natural methods including relaxation exercises, massage & homeopathic remedies can often be as effective as standard medications in preventing or relieving the pain caused by different forms of a headache.
Remedy= Run Yourself a warm bath to alleviate tension and relax blood vessels.
Combine the following essential oils (or if you just have some sort of candles/aromatherapy items)
3 drops of Chamomile, 3 drops of Lavender & 3 Drops of rosemary add the mixture to the bathwater.
Extra Tip- this time-tested home remedy can provide quick headache relief. Put a few drops of FRESH LEMON JUICE into a cup of BLACK COFFEE and drink it in small sips. WARNING: This is NOT for people with sensitive stomachs
Poultices for Pain-
Cold Compress- Moisten a cloth with cold water, put 2 drops of peppermint oil on it and apply it to the painful area for about 15 minutes.
Potato Poultice- cat 2 large, unpeeled potatoes into quarters and boil until tender. Mash them and press out the excess moisture. Wrap the warm mixture in a cloth; place it on the back of the neck for about 15 minutes. (anyone want to try this?)
Horseradish poultice- add a small amount of water to finely grated horseradish. Wrap it in a cloth; apply it to the neck for not more than 5 min. This will stimulate the skin, which helps extinguish headache pain. If your skin is sensitive, spread cream over your neck before applying the poultice. OR minimize your exposure to external stimuli, exercise in fresh air and abstain from smoking & alcohol. For Relaxation & avoidance
create a soothing environment, free of such external stimuli as noise & light. Ventilate the room; a fan will help circulate the air (but don't let it blow directly on you) Close the windows and draw the blinds. Turn off the radio/TV and unplug the phone. If still noisy, plug up your ears with cotton balls or if you have earplugs. (& I don't mean the buds to your iPod) Try to relax preferably with the aid of a technique like Yoga.
You can also try a foot bath which would divert the blood from your head to your feet. Bathe feet in a basin of 85 degree
water.dump hot water at 5-minute intervals until 115 degree 'F is reached. After soaking your feet for 5 minutes, pour in cold water until the temperature is lukewarm. Put on wool socks (something warm) and lie down for about 20 minutes.
You can talk to a nutritionist about taking herbal supplements like Kava kava thought to relieve tension headaches, and fever & ginkgo biloba are often recommended to prevent migraines.

Black Tea - if you have asthma sip on a cup it may help to relax your airways Brew STRONG (3 bags for a cup of hot water) drink a cup each morning & late afternoon. The tea contains the mild muscle relaxant aminophylline which helps open airways. (you will STILL need to keep the medications)
CARROTS- they ARE good for your eyes like your mother may have always told you. The veggie is rich in beta-carotene vitamins C & E lowering the risk of losing your eye site. What happens is Molecular Degeneration increases as we age, stealing the vision except for the outer edges and leaves black holes or dim images in the center of vision
CHOCOLATE.. No Guilt Contains beneficial substances that can improve mood and brain function! Possibly as addicting as coffee as they contain psychoactive compounds that may contribute to pleasurable sensation of eating it.
The Bliss molecule....traces of this neurotransmitter Anandamide aka the Bliss molecule produces feelings of euphoria
Hormone Help ........because of Chocolate's estrogen-like compounds, men who eat chocolate tend to live longer than those who do not!!!
Antioxidant power.....a standard chocolate bar and a glass of red wine contain about the same amount of antioxidants, which help to reduce your risk of heart disease Cancer and other ailments
GARLIC- Yeah Vampires hate it, and some people even the littlest bit are appalled by the smell, however I, swear mine & all others' lives on it!
It seems the ONLY time I get sick is when I go without using any garlic on my foods. Pharaohs used to feed garlic to their workers to keep them strong & healthy. Wouldn't it be wise from what others knew millennia ago! that Science confirms (as of Men's Health Sept. 2011) They Note It
HICCUPS- I don't know about the other ways (drink water, hold your breath someone scarring you.... Doesn't work for me, BUT I have found something that does. PEANUT BUTTER! Take a nice big heaping tea/tablespoonful & eat it (even if its just enough to fill half your mouth)
when it gets to where the air bubble in your Diaphragm is, the weight of it should make the bubble burst & no more hiccups. If you are allergic to Peanut butter try subbing it with something Almond butter or something of the sort you are not allergic to.
WATER- detoxify yourself to better looking skin.
POMEGRANATE - & other fruits & Berries as well some dark chocolate (check label) have antioxidants in them to boost your immune system, There's even POM juice (which might take some getting used to I pref. the Nectarine one) or you can go for the LITE version
What Are Antioxidants?
Antioxidants are important disease-fighting compounds. Scientists believe they help prevent and repair the stress that comes from oxidation, a natural process that occurs during normal cell function. A small percentage of cells becomes damaged during oxidation and turns into free radicals, which can start a chain reaction to harming more cells and possibly disease. Unchecked free radical activity has been linked to cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease.
This study assesses antioxidant levels in more than 100 foods, including fruits, vegetables, cereals, breads, nuts, and spices.
Cranberries, blueberries, and blackberries ranked highest among the fruits studied. Apples ran a close second, and dried fruits were also leading contenders. Peaches, mangos, and melons, while scoring lower than berries, still contain plenty of antioxidants as well as other nutrients.

* FIGHTS CANCER Garlic can block the formation of carcinogenic compounds and support DNA repair, according to a review of studies in ANTI-Cancer agents in medicinal Chemistry. John Milner Ph.D., of the national Cancer Institute says that the sulfurous compounds in garlic can actually function as "pro-oxidants' chemicals that cause oxidation damage in cancer cells, helping to destroy them.
* HELPS YOUR HEART Garlic has been shown to reduce hypertension as well as plaque formation in arterial walls. An Australian meta-analysis concluded that garlic reduced blood pressure in people with hypertension, while a study review in Molecular Nutrition & Food research found that a diet rich in garlic ma help stave off atherosclerosis, a precursor to heart attacks and strokes, by preventing blood clots and improving blood-vessel function.
*BLOCK FREE RADICALS A review by researchers showed that compounds in garlic can help boost immunity and scavenge the free radicals linked to disease and aging.
If you have HIGH BLOOD SUGAR lower it naturally with Cinnamon or Salacia (this is just a tiny bi of info, Check out the featured lenses for more)
CINNAMON Not only can Cinnamon Lower blood sugar, but it can also lower Cholesterol levels as well! Taken at 1 gram a day over 40 days will still continue to benefit another 20 days thereafter!
Add some Cinnamon to your yogurt, Oatmeal, Smoothies, sprinkle some on toast , or Put a cinnamon stick in a cup of tea & stir!

- Blend Miso with Garlic, ginger, 1 cup cool water & 1 tsp. Vinegar in a food processor until smooth. Transfer miso broth to a bowl, stir in 2 cups cool water. Divide broth, tofu, snow peas, radishes, & scallions among 4 bowls. Toss pea shoots with remaining 1/2 tbsp vinegar and oil, garnish each bowl before serving

- 2 1/2 Tbsp Red Miso (or more to taste)

LOW FAT Chocolate mousse - HEALTHY Chocolate fix

This will be here for a limited time
- 8 oz semi sweet chocolate chips or chunks
- 8 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons confectioner's sugar
- * Preheat oven to 350 f
- * coat 8 1/2 inch springform pan with cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment or wax paper & set aside
- * melt chocolate in the microwave a double boiler or a bowl set over a sauce pan of simmering water
- *meanwhile separate the egg yolks from the whites and transfer the yolks to a bowl. Beat the yolks until thick and pale. Gradually beat in the chocolate until blended. Fold in the vanilla
- * In a separate bowl beat the whites with 1/4 cup of the sugar until soft peaks form. Fold 1/4 of the whites into the chocolate mixture and then fold in the remaining whites. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until almost set but still slightly jiggly in the center. Cool in the pan to room temperature before cooling completely (still in the pan) in the refrigerator Remove from pan, dust with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar before serving.

Another idea to make sure that you keep losing weight (like if you do the 3 day & then you don't seem to lose weight switch to just eating the serving size (& I don't mean a 20 oz soda in one sitting, that should last you 2-3 servings really!) Get one of those books that tells you how much a serving size is like 3 oz. of steak and so forth. Don't eat a meal in one sitting. It takes your body a few hours (about 3-4) to break down the sugars and so forth in food so having a few 'nibble' snacks (carrots, Fruit, Cucumber nuts, some peanut butter) will keep you from crashing. Snack on Fruit or Peanut butter Fruit breaks down slowly keeping blood sugar levels steady and High Protein snacks like yogurt or peanut butter are good for amino acids which keep energy levels high.
Or instead of waiting for the diet to go in to regulation.. switch each week here & there and maybe go 2 weeks with one then go back to another, but I do HIGHLY recommend working on the serving size idea first as it will train your body to learn to eat less before you do the 3 day diet which if you are lucky there's a snack a day!
Drink Water Losing just 2% of your body's water can decrease your energy levels to 20% and if you feel thirsty you are ALREADY dehydrated!

Drugs & Alcohol- they can alter brain chemistry (alcohol kills brain cells, but for me seems to act like a 'loofah' I swear I always remember a lot better when I have a drink or 2!)

Read- reading makes the brain work painting pictures to draw conclusions, analyze information to connect the dots. To remember where you put something, practice saying it out loud to remember where you put it down.
use names and you won't forget Upon meeting the person, repeat their name as often as possible while focusing on them. (It’s nice to meet you_____" "_____may i ask you a question or ______what is your favorite kind of........." this way your memory will make a better connection

7 Easy ways to Improve your memory
1. Paint a mental picture- names are usually boring. The times one remembers someone's name fast is if they have an interesting conversation with them, or they are part of a memorable experience. For instance the name 'Andrew Bush' can be Bush with lots of hands 'AND-drew' in it.
2. Switch hit- if you are having trouble learning something new or retaining the information, say on your computer screen, whether its finances or a test try changing the font to something a little hard to read... Counter intuitive~ Yes, but studies from Princeton (Indiana University) Psychologists found that adults who studied in complex information in unfamiliar fonts scored better on tests than in popular typesets.
3. Talk to Yourself Ever have a memory lapse forgetting someone's name, it’s on the "tip of your tongue' these are more common as we age when neural connections in our brains tend to weaken. You can try to help this by well say you are going to a party, Rehearse saying the names of the people that will be there out loud, this way you'll be more likely to remember later.
4. Use it or lose it The more you work it the sharper it will be. Try playing scrabble to increase your use of language, taking an online course, or learning a new language. Learn a new word a day, play with those 'Brain Age' type games
5. Don't be a loner the more social you are, the less likely you are to developed memory problems and other signs of mental decline as you age. Books clubs will be beneficial also those like Bingo & the movies, where you are not talking do not help to sharpen the mental sword. Written communication like Facebook & Twitter can also help because it increases your language production.
6.Take a walk exercise helps the brain sprout new connections between neurons, especially in the 'hippo-campus' (I'm sure you can think of my joking comment to that) which is part of the brain where part of our working memory resides. So when you exercise its putting new 'bridges' in that part of the brain where some of the suspension is sagging
7 Get a good Night's sleep Pulling an allnighters? Well that can backfire on you! Lack of sleep makes you groggy and unfocused. Try getting a full 8 hours of sleep the night before a test. a Minimal unit of UNINTERRUPTED sleep is crucial to memory consolidation regardless of the total amount of sleep.
