the best drugstore make-up without spending a lot of money

Updated on May 2, 2012

Making good decisions

You might think that the make-up from drugstores like for example CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and Target as well as other drugstores is cheap and does not work well but the truth is some of the beauty experts and well known make-up artists that know a lot about make-up and how to apply it well have found out and said that drugstore cosmetics actually do work and the good thing is you can find them in a really affordable price rather then wasting a lot of money on an eyeshadow or eyeliner. I think this can also be useful since the economy is not good right now it can be useful to know how to shop smart for make-up.

Drugstore make-up brands

If you have gone to a drugstore which im sure everyone has before because drugstores are so popular you might have noticed the make-up that is being sold some brands are Loreal, Maybelline, covergirl, Wet and Wild etc. plus others it may be a long list but I just dont want to make it that long because this article is not only about different make-up brands but I just wanted to include some of the names as a reference for this article.

So now onto the shopping part well first off when you are at a drugstore you will find some of the make-up which you wont see in a expensive department store at a mall. There are lipglosses and lipsticks which cost no more than $5 - $7 dollars each which is not that expensive in fact and they come from Maybelline and the lipglosses are available in a variety of colors and flavors which is awesome. By this it shows that you may never know what you might actually find sure it can be at low cost but what matters is the quality of the product how good is it and it's benefit for your health and yourself, another product that you can buy is the Maybelline New York full and soft washable mascara now I will tell you why it is good being that it is a drugstore product well because it does not clump right when you apply it to your eyelashes it goes on smoothly and makes your eyelashes more longer and stronger which makes your eyes look fabulous in the end when you have it on.

Continuing up is this other make-up brand I have heard of a lot on T.V. and on magazines now lately is from Revlon it's called Revlon colorstay make-up with softplex now I have heard that this is one of the best looking foundations that are better than other foundations you might have to check and see for yourself if you are curious and it is a natural foundation with a powerful stay for your skin it comes with very different shades variying by different shades with colors. Lastly one of my favorite eyeshadow products is the Wet n Wild smoky eyeshadow duo which is great because each pallete has three colors in all and when you go to the store you can select which pallete is appropriate for the color of your eyes and in the package it shows you how to create the smoky eye step- by- step. So those are the different brands that you can try next time when you go for a trip to the drugstore. I think that drugstore make-up is awesome it not only comes in good prices but they also can have some valuable benefits that you may have never known about.

I will have to look for the Maybelline New York mascara. I always play up my eyes and I'm not quite happy with the last mascara I bought. Good article on makeup, shows you can be beautiful and not spend a bunch of money.

Great article and you are soo right. I love going to Walgreens for my make-up. It's inexpensive and is the same great brands you find in more expensive stores.
