Top Ten Best Smelling Colognes For Men
The 10 Best Smelling Colognes For Men: AKA The Colognes That Turn Women On
Before zipping down this list of the Top Ten Best Smelling Colognes for Men, and reading these fantastic reviews, I need to ask that you keep a few things in mind about your average "Joe"...
First off - When it comes to the fragrance of l'amour, men are basically as clueless as Pepe Le Pew. They have no idea what they really smell like, and they do not see how something as small as an odor can turn others away.
Like Pepe, they believe that as long as they are smooth, romantic, and debonair, they will get the girl. This may be true, but if they smell like a fly covered port-o-potty in the mid day sun of July, no amount of smooth talking is going to work. Maybe if they did not smell so bad, they would not have to try so hard.
Men, it is to your benefit to smell as good, if not better, than the game you play. If you are trying to find the best men's cologne, keep in mind that the finer men's fragrances are worth the price. Also, it wouldn't hurt to ask, 'what cologne do women like best'? You do not want to waste your money on a fragrance that nobody likes.
Some of the best fragrances can cost next to nothing. Though, when selecting a men's perfume, price should not be the issue. Quality is the key.
It is an issue that is so easily remedied by looking into the most popular male fragrances. These best men cologne reviews should at least give you a hint as to what makes a good fragrance for men.
Men, Women and Cologne
"You know it's not just a case of physical attraction. I admire her mind too." - Pepe.
Most men do not know the first thing about picking out the best fragrance for themselves, or about colognes that turn women on.
They figure that as long as the scent can cover up the funky smell that they are exuding, it's good enough. The problem with this technique is that it doesn't rid the offender of the original odor. It just mingles the two poor odors together and gives any unsuspecting recipient a double dose of olfactory offense.
Instead of being a cologne that turns women on... It is like a mosquito repellent pushing them away.
The other problem men have with cologne, is the price.
Most men are cheap and they do not see what the true value is in a good cologne. Their motto is, "the cheaper the better". Au contraire my stinky little friend. If you value yourself, the least you can do is invest in yourself.
As we go through this top 10 list, I hope to debunk the "Cheap Guy Syndrome" so many men suffer from. I also hope to help those who suffer the most when a man wears a bad perfume, the women. For they are the ones who have to put up with our manly aroma. Ode To Funk is not a good fragrance.

No. 9 Very Sexy for Him by Victoria Secret
When my wife brought home a bottle of Victoria's Secret VERY SEXY FOR HIM from the mall and gave it to me.
At first I thought that a sales person talked her into it. They like to push this kind of stuff on you when you get to the counter to make your purchase, but then she told me that she picked it up because she liked it. Not because a sales lady goaded her into it.
I figured that I would give it a try to I am glad that I did. Very Sexy for him turned out to be one of my favorite mens perfumes. It has a very fresh scent and clean flavor for men.
Now that I think about, I need to ask my wife to pick up another bottle for me when she goes back to Vickie's. Maybe I can take her there to help her find it. Hmmm.
No. 8 Chanel Bleu De Chanel Paris
This cologne, Chanel Bleu De Chanel Paris, is the reason I prefer to purchase my cologne online.
My wife went to the department store to pick up a gift for me and she wasn't sure what she wanted to get. She knew that she wanted a cologne, but she wasn't sure which one.
The lady behind the counter reluctantly showed her one or two that she liked, but when she came across Chanel Bleu, she knew that she had found what she was looking for.
She told the lady that she wanted it and the lady reached for the small bottle on the shelf behind her. When my wife told her that she wanted the large bottle next to it, the women behind the counter said, "Do you know how much that costs"? As if my wife couldn't afford it. What a snot...
My wife politely told her that the price didn't matter and she bought it. I am glad that she did. This stuff is great. But from now on, I will save my wife the time, hassle, and attitude and purchase it online.
No. 7 tommy by Tommy Hilfiger
I hate to put Tommy Cologne by Tommy Hilfiger so close to the bottom of my top ten list. It is one of my favorite smelling scents and the women do love it. I think it is rated to be one of the most popular colognes by women and I haven't found one yet who doesn't like it.
It is a bit silly of me, but I love the smell of this stuff and if I have it, I tend to over use it. Morning, noon and night. It is such a sporty cologne with such a clean scent, I just can not help myself. I should listen to my own advice and go lightly with it, one squirt of this stuff and you will be good to go, but like I said, I just can't help myself
No. 6 DRAKKAR NOIR by Guy Laroche
DRAKKAR NOIR by Guy Laroche is not just some new kid on the block. It has been a favorite mens fragrances for a long time. It has shown that it can hold it's own on the street and on the dance floor. No. 5 Calvin Klein Eternity for Men
So, what cologne do women like on men? Well, Eternity for men may not be the most popular anymore, but it is one of the best smelling men's fragrances rated by women.
Calvin Klein's Eternity for Men was introduced to the perfume market by Calvin Klein back in 1989 as a designer fragrance.
When this stuff hit the shelves, it was the best fragrance for men for years. It has a very exhilarating seasoned lavender and amber fragrance that is best for daytime wear. This Perfume has a blend of greens, crisp jasmine, sage, basil and rosewood that is very pleasing to the senses.
No. 4 POLO by Ralph Lauren
Though they may not admit it to their friends, another men's cologne women love, is the old stand by, POLO by Ralph Lauren. With it's warm rich fragrance, Polo has been pleasing the lady's around the world since 1978.
Polo may be a classic, but there is a reason it has maintained it's popularity and reputation. If you need me to tell you why that is, then you need more help than I can give you.
No. 3 Paco Rabanne 1 Million
It should come as no surprise to many of you that Paco Rabanne 1 Million by Paco Rabanne For Men makes the top ten best list with ease. It is an ultra sexy, masculine fragrance that is strong, yet has a kind, sweet smell.
I am sure that it is no coincidence that the bottle looks like a bar of gold, and the name is "1 Million".
I am sure that this marketing idea put a great deal of coin in Pacos' back pocket. But you know what? It's worth it. It can make you feel like a million too.
This may sound a bit goofy, but I think it holds a great deal of truth... "To improve your lot in life, surround yourself with positive, uplifting things". One of the ways I do this is to spray myself with a bar of gold worth a million bucks in the morning. It makes me feel "Rich".
No. 2 Calvin Klein's Obsession for Men
Just about every women loves the fragrance of Calvin Klein's Obsession for Men. It is a true "Mans" fragrance. Emo's need not apply. It is great for a night out on the town and just a dab will do ya. It has a strong sexy scent, so do not overdo it.
I recall the first time I ever used this stuff. I was overseas in Korea and they had it at the Army PX so I bought it. It was still a new cologne back then and the interest I received for it down in the ville was unbelievable.
Granted, it doesn't pull that kind of attention these days, but I still get a lot of good attention with it. I am sure that you will too.
Obsession may be the number two on my list, but it is a very close second.
No. 1 Acqua Di Gio Cologne by Giorgio Armani
Number One on the top 10 colognes women love to smell on a man is Acqua Di Gio, by Giorgio Armani. I dare say that it is one of the few colognes that will turn a women "On". It is the sexiest scent for men I have ever found.
This stuff has a sweet clean scent that oozes sex appeal. That may be why it is one of the most popular among young men. The reason it costs so much is because it works so well.
It is probably the best men's cologne women love. If Acqua Di Gio was a weapon, it would be the only one in my arsenal.

Pheromone Colognes for Men
Pheromone spays are scientifically designed to sexually attract the opposite sex via the scent of pheromones.
The big question is, do pheromone sprays work? Can these scents excite women?
The test results I have seen, do show that it works. And many of the personal reviews from guys who have tried it do claim that they had good results after wearing it. But I am still not convinced.
Many believe that it is the confidence one has while wearing this stuff that actually attracts the women. Not the pheromones or the scent.
I only place it on this page to let you know that it is out there and that it is an option if you want to give it a try. If you do, please drop us a line or two here to tell us how it worked for you.
A Few Tips on How to Wear Cologne
1. Keep all your fragrances in a cool, dry area, and away from direct sunlight. It can unbalance the ingredients, thus altering the scent. An opened bottle should be kept in its box to insure a longer shelf life.
2. Also, apply your fragrance low on the body, but not too low. On your chest and neck, so that the scent rises and you won't lose it as quickly. (Guys, do not spray cologne on your wrists.)
3. Spray with care, being careful not to exceed three sprays. Too much of a good thing turns it into a bad thing.
4. Reapply after long periods of time. If you applied it in the morning, reapply in mid-afternoon.
5. For a Job Interview, little or none is your best bet.
