Sexy Women's Socks Men Will Love

Updated on October 13, 2009

I've been receiving quite a few emails recently on the topic of incorporating women's clothing into male attire. Some men ask how to do it, others offer hints and tips, so I am going to do a bit of a series on pieces of female attire you can work into your male wardrobe without anyone being any the wiser.

We'll start with the feet today and look at women's socks. Women's socks tend to be thinner than men's socks and also quite often more beautifully created. A plethora of colors, patterns, motifs and styles can be found in women's socks whereas male socks tend to be rather plain on the whole.

Even if you're not ready to liberate your torso and upper thighs, your tootsies can get in on the fashion freedom act when you wear women's socks!

Toe Socks

Toe socks are quite popular among women, and there's no reason why men shouldn't enjoy them too. What are toe socks? Well, they're essentially socks with little pockets for your toes, much like gloves. Toe socks tend to be brightly colored and as much fun to look at as they are to wear.

Hot Sox Bandanna Socks

Made by Hot Sox, bandanna style socks are pretty cute socks that wouldn't look too far out of place on a male foot. After all, nobody has a problem with the masculinity of a man who wears a bandanna on his head, why should it suddenly become suspiciously effeminate when he puts the same pattern on his feet? These come in both red and white, and black and white.

Striped Long Socks

These socks from Aura Nove are not only pretty cute, they also look great with a pair of high heels, or under a man's jean for all anyone needs to know. This style of socks is fairly generic and you can pick up women's striped knee high socks in pretty much any department store in the world.

Ribbed Socks

Also from Aura Nove, these women's socks are so close to men's socks that I doubt anyone would be able to accuse you of wearing women's wear or if it would so much as cross their mind to do so. Of course, these socks are a good deal longer than most men's ribbed socks, which adds to their feminine charm.

Mismatched Socks

For the true sock design connoisseur, one cannot go past littlemissmatched, an online sock retailer that creates super cute socks for women and kids. The premise behind the idea is that the socks are all mismatched so it doesn't matter whether or not the ones you're wearing a truly a pair. Missmatched socks aren't sold in pairs, they're sold in threes. You can get all kinds of women's socks, from anklets to knee highs and everything in between. They're brightly colored, fun and totally feminine.

These are elegant. I think my 12 year old niece would like them.
