What Is The World's Most Expensive Watch?

Wondering what is the world's most expensive watch? Who makes it? What does it look like or what the world's most expensive watch is worth? These are just a few of the questions you will find answered here on this page.

There are of course many types and styles of watches available, some of them quite inexpensive and others quite expensive and of course some of the luxury watches are very appealing. Most of the watches on this page cost amounts that most of us are unable to comprehend, but if you are going to dream then you might as well dream big.

Click here to see Amazon's most expensive watch.

The World's Most Expensive Watch

Chopard 201 Carat Watch

Chopard 201 Carat Watch

The most expensive watch in the world hardly seems like a watch to me.

You are not seeing things, you read that right. In the year 2000 this slightly gaudy, definitely over-the-top watch sold for $25 million dollars. Made by Chopard, it is adorned with three heart-shaped diamonds. One that is a 15-carat pink diamond, one that is a 12-carat blue diamond and one that is an 11-carat white diamond. As if that was not enough, they added 163 carats of white and yellow diamonds to bring the total to 201 carats of diamonds.

An unbelievable watch that must really be something to behold.

More Chopard Watches - Available from Amazon.

Okay, at whopping $25,000,000 the watch shown above is well out of my price range and so are these ones available on Amazon but they are fun to look at and, ahh, slightly more reasonably priced.

I wasn't expecting one of the most expensive Chopard watches on Amazon to feature Mickey Mouse but voila! Here he is!

The World's Most Expensive Pocket Watch

Patek Phillipe's Supercomplication Watch - This Patek Phillipe watch is the worlds most expensive POCKET WATCH.

Patek Phillipe Watches Are Rare

Patek Phillipe watches are rare. This more modern example, however, is available from Amazon.

Patek Phillipe's Super Complication was created in 1932 after four years of work for a New Yorker named Henry Graves Junior. There was a competition amongst a number of watch collectors to own the watch with the most complications.

It is a yellow gold watch and has two faces and 24 complications.. Only one Supercomplication was ever made and it was sold by Sotheby's auction house in 1999 for more than $11,000,000. According to Forbes, it beat that record when it resold in 2014 for $24,000,000.

Another super expensive watch that is stunning in its handsomeness.

Patek Philippe also invented the first wrist watch in the 1800s.

There are 834 parts inside the Vacheron Constain's Tour de l'lle and some call it "the most complicated watch ever made". It is able to tell time in two time zones and can tell the sunset time. It has a perpetual calendar and an astronomical indicator of the night sky.

It took 10,000 hours of research and create. Only seven were ever made and, in 2005, a Vacheron Constantin Tour de l'Ile was sold for $1,500,000.

Another unbelievable time piece.

The Hublot Black Caviar Bang Watch has a case made of 18k of white gold and a clasp that features 322 diamonds. It is a one-of-a-kind watch with a retail price tag of $1,000,000. It won the Grand Prix de Geneve Jewelry Watch prize in 2009.

Time was not invented, at least not in the conventional sense. In fact, time does not exist at all!

My boyfriend collects watches like Imelda Marcos collected shoes. The Chopard 201 carat watch in this article is the same beautiful colors as a watch he gave me for a birthday present. Mine is a $10 flea market find made of pink, white and blue strips of shells. It's just a gorgeous and it keeps time. Great collection of watches. I enjoyed your article!

I like watches that are not too big. To be honest - I use my cell phone for most stuff now.

I have seen the Patek Phillpe brand in Vogue magazine for years and now I understand why their was no price listed!...if you have the ask, I probally could not afford it! Very interesting fact bout Mr. Phillipe being the inventor of the wrist watch.
