As we age we start to realize that, what we have been given is what we should take better care of. In most cases good skin can be genetics, but you can learn how to look younger with proper care and with the techniques described in this lens, and practice good habits to keep your skin in top condition.

The Best Way To Get Healthy Youthful Looking Skin!

Everyone begins the aging process as soon as we are born. Every day your skin sloughs off and regenerates new cells. It happens at a very fast rate when you are a child, and then as you age the process slows down.

Every day we see commercials and beauty tips that tell you the most recent miracle cream or drug is what you need to fight off age. Although some of these creams do help your skin improve texture and suppleness, it's not the miracle in a jar that will make you young overnight.

The best way to Healthy Youthful Looking Skin is to take care of what you have. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Here are some of my favorite beauty tips for keeping your skin looking young and healthy:

1: Stay hydrated! Don't drink soda or caffeine, (even diet soda) Soda has a lot of sodium and sodium retains fluids. You need to drink water and juices that flush your body of toxins. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day!

2: Protect your skin from harmful UV rays. We all love the sun, and having a beautiful tan. Get a little bit of sun but if you get too much you could damage your skin with too much sunshine. UV rays cause skin cancer and also causes your skin to age faster than it should, and causes wrinkles. When you go in the sun, make sure you are using a good sun screen. Don't leave home without it!

3: Keep your skin clean. Use a soft warm cloth. Skin does not require scrubbing. You will do more harm than good if you do. You can exfoliate but, just be gentle.

4: The best way to get rid of wrinkles is to keep them from happening! If you are like most people, you didn't listen to your Mom when she tried to tell you to stay out of the sun and to stop frowning and squinting your eyes! Use your sunscreen and wear sunglasses.

5: Eat healthy. Your skin will thank you! Eating healthy foods, like fresh fruit (especially berries), vegetables (easy way to get your veggies is eat a salad everyday!) can make a huge difference in how you feel and look. Bad eating habits can cause weight gain, lack of energy and can also cause depression.

6: Don't worry, be happy. A happy outlook triggers the release of endorphins. Endorphins can fight cancer cells. Listen carefully to yourself. If you have been unhappy or negative since childhood, over a period of time negative thoughts can age you and turn your into a pessimist.

7: Don't smoke This one should be number one! It causes those deep lines in the face that you see on some women and men. Smoking decreases the amount of collagen and elastin in our skin. Decreased amounts of collagen and elastin causes wrinkles. Why speed up the process? If you want youthful, sexy, supple, glowing skin... Don't smoke.

8: Keep your stress level down I know, easier said than done but try to reduce stress as much as possible. Try setting aside 30 minutes to yourself every day. If you can set aside some time to yourself, read a book or take a long bath. Think of something you enjoy doing and do it. It will make a huge difference in your level of stress.

Make a list of 20 great things that happen to you every day.

Laugh a lot. Laughing will make you feel amazing, and your mind and body will heal.

Try meditating for just five minutes each day.

True beauty begins from the inside out. Don't you wish there was some way to magically get that soft skin you had as a child? Well, you could take care of what you have now.

Just remember that getting older doesn't have to mean your getting old. Get it? It's all in how you live your life and how you think about it.


5 Ways To Look Younger Now!

1. Brighten your eyes by using a lighter eyeshadow.

2. Use a dewy pink lip color or gloss (don't use a matte color)

3. Use liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer instead of powder makeup.

4. Don't be so matchy with your cloths, makeup, and accessories. Mix it up. Matching everything makes you look dated.

5. Don't try to look too trendy. Buy one trendy clothing or accessory Item and go with that. Example: trendy handbag, trendy jeans, trendy shoes. But only pick one and not all of them.

      @wrinklestudent: Hi :) Using a moisturizer with SPF should be enough and then apply your foundation over that. If you don't like to wear foundation, a tinted moisturizer with SPF would be an excellent choice.
