Now a days, it is a common scene to see everybody keeps his /her ear attached to a cell phone. Often, they are doing it at the risk of an accident, loss of human relationship or studies. Intimate friendships of our parents’ younger days are now lost and it is now reduced to an SMS or mobile talk. Keeping addresses of our intimates is now lost. Writing letters is given up. Human relationship and mental concentration  are now replaced by electronic connections.

It is a fact that having a mobile phone now a days is a sort of necessity and it is an inevitable truth that mobile industry is taking everyone’s mind by a storm. From the very basic thing of making a call, texting, and now Internet access for just a touch of your fingertips. Do you have one of these? I do have one of those too and I won’t deny the fact that I enjoy using them. So as one of the million subscribers of this technology I will share you some of the advantages and disadvantages I found, out of having a mobile phone.
        Different brands

Mobile phones or of different brands. There is great competition in promotion and marketing of mobile phones, as known to everybody. But, NOKIA of Japan is head and shoulders above all other companies in the world. But , it may sound strange that dealers of this company phones are not getting much benefit on selling these phones. Reason is, this company gives only 5 margin to its dealers.Other manufacturers like LG, Motorola Lava, Lion, Samsung etc are also fighting in the market. In India,  Nokia has the largest market share.

  Multiple uses

Though cell phones were only useful for talks  when they first came out, now they are of multiple use and have  practically driven out many gadgets like-camera, tape recorder, CDs etc ,out of the list. Now, sophisticated mobile phone can function as a web-browser, emailer, camera, picture gallery, music album etc .

As one of the million subscribers of this technology I will share you some of the advantages and disadvantages I found, out of having a mobile phone.

ADVANTAGES
It keeps us in constant contact with people you consider important
It can help us seek help immediately during emergency cases
Its a sense of being financially uplifted.
Through mobile phones you can lessen your boredom, example listen to your favorite music and as well as watching movies through downloading.
It can take photos
Mobile phones also give us easier access on the internet.

You can carry it anywhere
It performs a lot of useful functions like calendar, making notes, alarm clock, timer and calculator.
No doubt, our mobile phone makes our life more convenient, but as the saying goes every technology has it's equal negative side and mobile phones are not so especial to be exempted.

 DISADVANTAGES

Expensive.
People spend less time bonding with their family and friends.
People just contact through phone and become too lazy meeting outside
Disturb us on our works and studies
People spend lots and lots of money buying the latest model
Affects our body because of radiation it produces
Easily broken and gets spoilt on falling of water.
mobile phone makes it easier to invade privacy
In the end, I hope you can weigh the advantages and the disadvantages I have mentioned to help you use your mobile phone in a responsible manner.
We humans created mobile phones and it is all up to our control...

Good Mr.Dev,you have raised a very relevant point.

In my observation, mobiles have caused both positive and negative effects on social relations. while they hepl us to retain retain social contacts easily, at the same time people attending mobile calls even though somebody is standing before them to talk. This is causing dicomfort to one who stands infront. We,the people should intelligently decide which one to attend, and when.

Well, mobile phones could be used for different purposes, especially in learning areas. Cell phones should b used as a learning tool not for entertainment onli

It should be for that only. But, much over talking is made on that. India has taken a good step recently by reducing the power of mobile towers.

Its true that mobile is useful. But is it used for necessary purposes only?Business executives,Top level officers,People working in a network but at distant points need mobiles. They should use them at need. But we see even coolies, little students, using mobiles extravagently. So much of carbon emission, releasing of electronic waves into brain etc, are not at all taken care off!Fault is of the instrument, but of brainless users.

I'm still in the dark ages. We did get a Tracfone to carry when we travel since public phones seem not to exist anymore.I'll probably get gadgets as I find them useful or necessary.

Hello prasadjain great article and yes I have to agree and understand the disadvantages are commonly being related to the devaluation of language and human interaction.

I to enjoy the constant access to information and as a man, I also love gadgets.

But I guess we all must take responsibility for ourselves and our human traits and behaviours and except new possibilities but also to be disciplined to hold onto the important lessons of old, all the best mark.
