43 Things

Updated on October 2, 2012

What is 43Things???

You have seen my title and you are most likely wondering why I have a hub titled 43 Things. No, it is not my list of clothing items I need to wash later after I finish my mayo and MacGyver reruns (well, it could be but its not). 43 Things is actually a website called is a goal setting website where you can announce your own goals to the world, some claim that by making your goals and ambitions public you are more likely to take steps to achieve them. This website certainly is a way to announce your personal goals to everyone. Because of the goals is why the website is named the way it is, because one could have 43 things they are trying to accomplish, you are more than able to have more or less.

Goal Setting

Once you become a member you have a wall you can post your goals on, one you have posted a goal you can see who else has this goal on there page and it give you a chance to interact with people with the same aspirations as yourself. Once you connect with others you can cheer others on, and help them achieve their ambitions. As you progress on your goals you have set for yourself you can journal about them and keep record of how you are doing on accomplishing certain milestones for your goals. Once you have successfully completed a goal you can then give a history of how and why you did it, how long it took you, and advice for others who may be striving for the same things as you are. As you rack up your accomplishments the website keeps those for you so you can look back at any time and see all the progress you have made since you first started on the website.

More Neat Things

The goals on your homepage are just a piece of what this wonderful positive website has to offer. You can put up an about me section and they also have some good widgets to add to your page. A great one is the morale tracker, which tracks your moral from day to day and over time lets you see how you are doing in that sector. They also have a Personal Challenge widget in this widget you can set a person challenge and a time table in which you can accomplish it. There are other widgets available as well such an magic 8 ball widget, a flickr photo bucket so you can upload photos from your flickr account. You can add the Cheers through this section so others can cheer you on as you race toward you goals. These are just a few of the really neat things this page has to offer.

Test it out

I have been a member for a few years, and I have loved it. It make me feel like I am actually doing things with myself when I long in and see how many things I have done over time, and how many things I will do. I like to look at it when I may be feeling down or like I am not doing as much as I would like to. It reminds me that it just takes time and effort to accomplish my goals and ambitions. Check it out and you never know you may just really enjoy it.

Will you test

      Hi Jordan,

I have heard about 43 things but somehow never got to join. Now that you have reminded me about it, let me just try it out. Thanks for the information. Socially shared. Cheers, Rema.

You don't to have that many things, when I first joined all I had on my list was to do my laundry in one day I think then it just grew from there. I became addicted to seeing my positive results. I see some lists that are 5 goals long that are very in depth and some that are 500 goals long that say I want to eat 1000 brown m&ms next tuesday. haha.
