Are You Invisible On Facebook?
Are You Invisible?
The Settings Have Been Changed
This is an important to anyone using Facebook for whatever reason.
Facebook has made some changes and not told its users. This is one way to get the word out about it. Many of us share our writing on FB.
Have you noticed that you are only seeing updates in your newsfeed from the same people over and over again? When you post status messages, photos and links, are the same circle of people commenting while the others ignore you?
It's not that those people don't love you or blocked you. The problem is that now you are invisible to many of your friends.
The "New Facebook" has a newsfeed setting which is defaulted to automatically set to SHOW ONLY posts to people who you interacted with recently or interacted with the most (that would be limited to the couple of weeks just before people started switching to the new profile). Unless your friends/fans commented on one of your posts within those few weeks or vice versa - you can't see them nor can they see you. You're invisible to each other
What's the fix?
On your homepage click the "Most Recent" title on the right of the Newsfeed, A drop down will appear. Click on "Edit Options" and a box will appear. Next see "Show Posts From" and change the setting to "All Of Your Friends and Pages." If it already says that then you're okay.
You can now view all of your friends and fans again.
There is some bad news though. You will still be INVISIBLE to a large portion of people on your list as they also need to change their settings. Get the word out to ALL of your friends on FB. You can tweet about it, blog it or send out an email to your friends, .
Why doesn't Facebook let people know when they make changes such as this. I'm letting you know so you can change your settings and then spread the word.
The more we share this information the faster we fix the problem they created.
