GPS AND Wi-Fi
When I read about the troubles of the Asus Transformer Prime, I became hesitant to purchase the new TF300t. The Transformer Prime fell victim to a weak GPS signal along with a weak Wi-Fi connection. None of which are trus for the TF300t. It seems that Asus has corrected this problem by installing a high-quality textured plastic back on the TF300t.
Both the GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities of this tablet are phenomenal. When testing the GPS connectivity, I am able to obtain a fix on eight satellites with an error of 6-8 meters within 14 seconds inside my home, away from windows. (Please see video below review) The TF300t picks up satellite connections much faster with a clear view of the sky. Kudos to Asus for providing a remedy to this problem. As for the Wi-Fi connection, I receive full bars with no drops throughout my two story home. Check out the following video.

The Transformer TF300t has proven itself to be a very solid replacement for my laptop. The load time for applications is very, very fast and scrolling between screens is rather quick. For a real desk-top experience, I use OnLive Desktop. OnLive replicates the windows environment on your android tablet and allows one to view Microsoft Office documents and Power Point presentations as if one was using windows. This has come in quite handy at meetings. Just plug your tablet into the HDMI out and one can give a professional Power Point presentation.
VIDEO STREAMING AND VIDEO CHAT
The Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor allows one to seamlessly watch movies via Netflix, HBO Go, Hulu, Crackle, DirecTV, or any other video application. One can also use Skype to stay in touch with family and friends anywhere a Wi-Fi connection is available. The TF300t is not yet certified for use with Skype but I use it all the time and it is flawless. The frame-rates are phenomenal for both streaming video and video chat.
The TF300t ships with very few proprietary (bloatware) apps such as Asus Vibe, Asus Web Storage, Amazon Kindle, Polaris Office, and My Net (Network Media sharing app). The Android store provides one with enough free and pay apps to keep one busy for a long time.
Games run on this tables just as well as they do on my desk-top set-up. Do yourself a favor and download Dark Meadow and Soulcraft THD. These two games spotlight the Tegra 3 quad-core processor. You will witness this tablets true power.
If you buy this tablet, and I suggest you do, you should also purchase the keyboard. The keyboard allow for a true laptop experience. The keyboard does take some getting used to as there are a few commands on the keyboard that are not utilized by a laptop. However, the keyboard adds great value to this purchase and also provides one with an additional slot for an SD card that can expand the tablets memory up to an additional 32MB for a total of 80MB. That is a huge storage capacity for a tablet.
I have owned Apple products in the past. This tablet provides one with a very similar experience. The only difference is that the Android system and Asus in general adds total customization to the user experience.
The TF300t provides one with the many perks one would expect from a high-priced, top of the line tablet, at a mid-level price. If you are considering picking up this tablet, please do so. You will not be disappointed.
