Best Digital Cameras Under $200

Nowadays, finding the right camera can be difficult. There are many camera options to choose from. Whether you are looking for inexpensive cameras, cameras for photo and video, or even top of the line DSLRs, you will be bombarded with many different cameras to choose from. And if you're not a person that is into cameras, it can be overwhelming. That is exactly why I am writing this hub, people need help finding what they want. In this article I will list and discuss the best cameras available for under $200. Just note that these cameras are recommended for people purchasing their first camera and want only a simple point and shoot digital camera.

Nikon COOLPIX S4100 - $179

This camera is perfect for those who want a camera they can take on the go. This 14 mp comes with a 5x optical zoom which means you can capture close-ups while maintaining good image quality as well as a 3 inch touch screen. It also captures 720p video meaning you can capture HD video to share with your friends. I did say a $179 price tag, but at the moment of writing this, it is on Amazon for $110.

Kodak Easyshare M530 - $99

Kodak has long been a big name in the camera industry. Their easy share line of cameras are perfect for any photography beginner. The camera shoots 12 mp photos and Kodak's easy share software makes it easy to share on all of your social networks.

Panasonic Lumix TS20 - $179

This camera is perfect for the adventurer in all of us. This rugged 16.1 mp camera is built to last; it is waterproof and dust proof meaning you can take it almost anywhere, just don't drop it. It also comes in 4 bright colors to match your unique style.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W650/B - $120

This is an all around great camera and the price is almost a steal. This camera has 16.1 megapixels and 720p HD video recording. And if that isn't enough for that price it offers 360 degree panorama mode which allows you to take pictures of large landscapes on top of many other things.

Samsung EC-PL120 - $150

Another great camera. This Samsung camera has shoots 14.2 mp pictures and records 720p HD for those who are looking for the best of both worlds (video and photo). There is also one feature that sweeps away the competition; it has two LCD screens, one front and one back. This makes it easy to capture self portraits.
