Canon EFS 18-55 mm Kit Lens Review
Hello everyone, in this review i'm gonna write about the brand new Cannon EFS 18-55mm kit lens. It has lot of great features. Lets jump into the review.
Perfect Kit Lens
This might be the perfect multi-function zoom lens to keep in your kit. Whether it's a wide angle shot or a telephoto, the EF-S 18-135mm IS STM delivers on every scenario. The apeture level is f/3.5-5.6. This is great to compare the Nikon's standard kit lenses.
This comes with state of the art Image Stabilizer (IS) great for low light conditions when a tripod or camera holder can't be used, the IS system allows shutter speeds up to 4 stops slower without causing image blur
Blur Effect (Creative Blur)
Canon Claims that it has "Creative Blur" That has six blade circular aperture to blur backgrounds. however im not impressed with the blur effect on this camera like the fixed focused lens. Of course Cannon surely improved the blur effect on this Lens compared to its predecessor.
Color Balance - Super Spectra Lens Coatings
Amazing color balance improvement on this Lens with Cannon's Super Spectra lens coatings So we can say goodbye to flare and flat images and ensure great color balance and perfect contrast with Canon's Super Spectra lens coating.
Powerful standard zoom lens
I would say this is great kit lens to roam around with. It has AF/MF toggle, AF switch evens allows to do the manual focus, this is great so you don't need to switch into MF if you are doing manual adjustments and it has STM motor which is very silent while zooming and it won't jam or jerk when you are doing the manual focus, feels very soft and near zero silent. I'm very impressed with the cannon STM lens motor.
If you are looking to learn photography. I would recommend this lens to start with. It has Image stabilizer, AF/MF toggle, Spectra lens coating and silent STM motor. It has everything you want in a DSLR lens. I would give 5 out of 5 for this beginners level lens. Thanks for stopping by. Peace.
