Canon EOS Rebel T5i - Built-In Wi-Fi

I believed soon we will see Canon EOS Rebel? I know Canon EOS Rebel T4i just came out mid 2012 but we all saw what Nikon's D5200 have to offer (wi-fi capable required additional adapter).. Lets go back to Canon.. Do you think it make sense to see rebel version of Canon EOS 6D? My sister recently purchased Canon 6D with 24-105mm f/4.0L IS USM AF Lens..

Here's the basic specifications:

  • Built-In Wi-Fi and GPS Connectivity
  • 20.2 Megapixel Full Frame CMOS
  • 3 Inch LCD
  • DIGIC 5+ Image Processor
  • 1080p FullHD w/ Manual Controls
  • 11-Point AF w/ Center Cross-Type Point
  • 63-Zone Dual Layer Metering Sensor
  • 50-102400 iso
  • 4.5 frame per seconds

It was a great upgrade from here Canon EOS 7D and she loves it. Last weekend we covered a wedding, I did video and she did picture... The moment I won't forget is when showed me all the pictures that she literary just took from her 6d to her iPhone. It's like every photographer's dream, she even took a pictures of me while I'm taking video and immediately post at her facebook...

The lesson here is, If Canon and Nikon (and other's like Sony NEX and Samsung NX Camera) can deliver this story to everyone, instant share and access all your picture from your camera. If your a persons that appreciate image quality (not the 8 megapixel of your iPhone), but like features of your smart phone (instant share, easy upload to your cloud and more), you will love this.

Think about it, even myself got excited. I currently have Canon EOS 50D and I loved it.. (I don't need the video features because I own Sony FX1). Now I'm considering to get a dslr with built-in wi-fi. I will be the first to buy once the T5i happen this year and next year if there will be Canon EOS Rebel T6i...

So, if I am Canon... Don't you think it make sense to speed up the release of rebel built-in wifi. The potential upgrader like myself that own couple canon lens and flash is there.....

Let's all say hurryy up Canon!!

Ok my prediction will be April this year.. that's right around the corner of Mother's Day. And yes if you don't know Mother's Day is a huge holiday for all Camera manufactures...
