I have been a long Outlook addict when it comes to organizing my iPhone calendars. However, adding and deleting iPhone calendar entries from Outlook on my computer, involves syncing my iPhone with iTunes each time I make a change.

I would never understand why and how a multimedia-oriented utility such as iTunes would have to deal with one’s iPhone calendars if anything. Since the coming of iCloud, managing one’s iPhone Calendar has become somewhat more straight-forward. You can add or delete iPhone calendar entries straight on your computer via the iCloud and this would get recorded to your iPhone. Of course, one needs an active Internet connection in order for this to occur.

iPhone Calendar on the go

If you are of the frequent-flyer type and always bring your iPhone and laptop around, there is another way to manage your iPhone Calendar, offline, from your PC, via using the following tool:

This is a simple but handy Windows utility which manages your iPhone calendar entries directly from your computer. The advantage of using your computer when adding, editing and removing iPhone calendar entries while on the go is evident: bigger screen + physical keyboard = quicker entry times. This is why being used to managing my iPhone calendar with Outlook, I was looking for a quick PC alternative sans having to use iTunes as a redundant sync medium.

Here is a set of interactive video steps which show how to use the utility in order to add or remove iPhone calendar events:

You would first need to run the program on your computer and connect your iPhone. Your iPhone calendar(s) will directly show up in the main program window.

Now you can edit, or remove existing iPhone calendar entries. You can also import *.ics calendars from your computer directly to your iPhone.

Managing your iPhone calendars from your computer using iCloud

iCloud is another worthy method to manage your iPhone calendars using the comfort of the larger size of your computer screen and keyboard, albeit, requiring you to be connected to the Internet.

You would also need to make sure you have turned on your iPhone Calendar sync with your iCloud account. To do so, on your iPhone go to Settings > iCloud and then toggle the “Calendars” switch from OFF to ON

Next, tap “Merge” in order to merge all your existing iPhone calendars to your iCloud account.

You also need to make sure that your iCloud calendars show on your iPhone. To do so, go to your Calendar app from your iPhone Home Screen. Next, tap “Calendars” when inside your iPhone Calendar. Ensure that the “All iCloud” option is ticked.

Now, log in to your iCloud account by going to:

Next, click on the Calendar icon. This is where you can add, edit, or remove iPhone calendar entries.

Which method do you use when managing your iPhone calendars? Do you use third-party iPhone calendar utilities such as Outlook or you rely entirely on Apple? Leave your comments below.
