Facebook is Practising Mind Control

Updated on June 5, 2016

Facebook more than any other technological application has pervaded our social lives and impacted the way we interact with other people. It could easily be argued that Facebook has become way too powerful.

Facebook is now entering into another realm that will make them completely unstoppable- that is mind control.

Facebook is integrated into many other applications . They could now be aware of where you are, what you are doing at any one point in your life. What kind of implications does this have? Well there are many implications.

Basically there is no way that it can be stopped. You cannot fight the Facebook. We are all somehow playing along with it's game.

It is not the same with other websites like Twitter, Tumblr or any other application. It is the Facebook that has really taken things to a new level, mainly because they have so aggressively invaded the social space. And they seem so power hungry that they are not going to let their foot off the pedal any time soon.

There are many people who would never admit that they are actually a little bit terrified of Facebook . This includes both younger and older generations. One of their concerns is how much they need to expose to the public. Too little? Too much? What is appropriate? The fact that this has even entered the human psyche now is a major concern.

In the beginning older generations inappropriately associated social media exclusively with young people. But the truth is that there are many young people who feel incredible alienated because of social media. Who feel at odds with the pervasion of Facebook. Ultimately they are unsure of how to interact with it.

Facebook has the incredible ability now to manipulate people's emotions. Jealousy, anger, frustration, these very raw human emotions now at Facebook's disposal. Facebook can detect what people want, what people believe and even more scarily what makes them feel anxious. Facebook has the ability to tap into people's anxieties. It is a phenomenon that is changing lives and families and it is not going to stop anytime soon.

The one way around it is to tell people that they should not worry too much. That Facebook is not the real world. That it is only content presented to us in a very in your face way. And that is all it is at the end of the day. It is only content that should not really impact us the way it does. But it does. It has scarily invaded every aspect of our private lives. There is a good reason why many people have always been and will always be scared of the Facebook.
